Used for 2018 Toyota Camry strut change. Worked great and seemed really solid. Worm gear was really smooth (I used hand tools vs impact wrench as suggested by folks for safety purposes). Had no issues compressing the springs, very good tool

Case was scuffed up on the bottom. Inside was grimy. Looks like Bilitools sent me a previously returned item. I used the spring compressor tool today. Felt safe and secure at all times. Simple to use and worked great with a set of rear 4x4 2016 Ford Expedition coil springs. Added a star but still not getting 5 stars because it was someone’s return. No instructions were provided however it was pretty self explanatory for how it should be used. Raised it to 5 stars. Bilitools reached out after reading my review and provided excellent customer service.

This is a confidence building spring compressor. Smooth as silk. Locks on well. Spreader bar a little fussy but keeps things additionally safe which is the name of the game. Worked beautifully for my 2012 4Runner strut replacement.

I used this tool to compress brand new coils that were rated at 650 lb/in each. The compressors were more than adequate for the job as the are strong and beefy. Took my time compressing by alternating each side with a 19mm ratchet. Deducted one star because the edges of the clamp and hooks marred my brand new coils due to the force applied. In hindsight I should have protected the coils in some way. Maybe this tidbit will help you if you use them on brand new coils.

Anyone with a Tundra or similar beefy springs installing Bilsteins THIS is the best tool for the money! WOW. I have used the cheap harbor freight style and was skeptical this was any better but it is AMAZING. Worth every penny. Made the install simple and works great. Solid, and i highly recommend it. I usually dont review anything i buy..but had to on this tool. It is that good. 2006 tundra dc now has bilstein 5100s thanks to this tool and a few hours work. Buy it.

This compressor set worked very well for my front strut removal that had a tight upper space. The "typical" style did not fit. The separating bar is a bit awkward to install while the spring is in the vehicle, but it does help in keeping the clamps apart. This set was fundamental in getting my vehicle repaired when the strut mount failed, leaving the strut spring top loose in the wheel well. These are worth the money, especially since it comes with a handy storage case. The only negative is the separating bar requires a hex wrench that is not included.

As advertised! Worked great; completed the front strut assemblies with no issues. As always use caution while tightening, but it was super sturdy and i felt very confident using a power tool to incrementally tighten the system. Improvements: the tie arch bar is great but shift higher and lower from opposing points of contact. Maybe figure out a better way to keep it in plane.

Works great! I used it to install pretty stiff expedition springs in my grand Marquis. I had to compress them about 4 inches and it had no problems! Quality built and very stable. If you left 1 star, you probably shouldn’t be working on cars.
