I have two UV light from Lumintop - this one and the Tool AA UV. I definitely like the Tool light better, but I suppose much of my preference is highly subjective. I bough this knowing that it was a penlight, and I don't know of a better UV penlight (or even an equal) on the market right now. Pros: • takes standard AAA batteries • could be carried in a shirt pocket • true UV spectrum LED (not simply a purple LED like some makers use) Cons: • too long for pants pocket carry (true of all penlights, I suppose) • not as bright or as sturdy as the more compact Lumintop Tool UV

This light came well packaged and functions as advertised. The light emitted is nearly invisible on normal surfaces but very bright on black light reactive items such as currency. The rubber glow diffuser that comes with this light is a nice addition and glows very bright. I used 2 eneloop aaa batteries and they worked very well.

This light is fantastic. It’s feel in the hand is way above its price point. It has a very usable beam pattern and the dual output modes are well spaced. I especially like the very tactile metal tail switch. It feels good to actuate, and has a very solid action.

I have bought 3 different types of UV light for amazon and this one is by far the best one for the price. Its Great for IDs & counterfeits & all highly recommend this UV light for Doormen’s that check ids

after two months, light became less powerful; pretty much useless now

Battery life is pretty good, cool little light. very small & thin in it's profile & pretty compact light. Nice that it includes two extra orings.

I used this once for 5 minutes. I went back a few weeks later and it wasn't working. I blamed the batteries, but after replacing with 3 different sets and changing orientation, etc. I still can't get it to work. Very disappointed.

This UV flashlight has an excellent build and high luminosity UV light. Since it s 365nm UV the results are great. The performance is good even in daylight. I use it to highlight and read UV Text on labels.
