If you're here, it's probably because you're in some sort of trouble
Do you know that sinking feeling you get when a screw or bolt snaps? Or maybe the head strips or rounds off? Ok.. Well, this happens to me a lot, and this kit reverses that feeling. Bloody amazing. This basically turns a LONG job into a shorter/medium and more manageable job - Which I am sure we all can appreciate. So I bought this kit to help with those problems. I've had the chance to use this several times now and it's worked every single time. So it's earned a good review in my book. A few things to keep in mind though, some screws are just F'ed.. No amount of anything will save them. You have to know when a kit like this will save you or if you have to bring in the big guns (welding). Basically, don't try to use this on something where metal has fused permanently, or applications that require a massive amount of torque, Because you're setting yourself up for failure. Today, I found myself in a pickle. Very small screw head stripped (amongst several others). Then I remembered about this kit. I was thinking, maybe it's too small, but turns out there was an extractor for this very screw size (5mm I believe). I soaked the screw in penetrate fluid, relaxed for a few, then applied subtle but stern force with the extractor; and voila!! I was able to back the screw out with almost no effort. I can tell you right now, when any DIY'er or Mechanic is able to do this, a party is almost always in favor!! So, if the makers of this kit are reading, I am having a few beers for y'all tonight!!

needed it, used it...issue resolved.
Picked up this extractor set โjust in caseโ โ you know, one of those โbetter to have it and not need itโ buys. Well, guess what? While working on my transmission valve body, the screw on the filter decided to round off like it was training for the Olympics. Enter: this glorious little kit. Saved my sanity and probably a few swear jars from overflowing. The only thing that is missing, that I've seen in other kits, is a decent tool for removing the broken bolt from the extractor. They provide a punch which is hammered from the back, where others include a much easier to use, screw in type. Not a deal breaker, just a nice to have. Overall, I'm gad I had this when I needed it.

Saved my bacon
Rusted, stuck 10mm turbo bolt on my F350 diesel. Difficult to get at due to location, access required swivel joint at a fairly severe angle. Penetrant oil, torch etc. broke a 6 point socket, tried another 6 point socket but bolt head was slightly rounded by then and the socket couldn't grip the bolt enough to extract it. 10mm from this set broke the bolt free within 10 seconds. I used it along with a 16mm offset claw socket on the outer hex portion of the extraction socket, still needed a flex joint but at less of an angle. My next plan had been to try to cut the head of the bolt off with a die grinder/cut off wheel (which I would have had to purchase). No damage to the extractor socket. I hope to never have to use this set again but even if I don't it still will have been worth it to me for this one agonizing task.

Did the trick and got stripped bolt out
I was replacing the calipers and caliper bracket on my Jeep and one of the caliper bracket bolts flat would not budge, and it ended up getting stripped and rounded out. I have a smaller extractor set, but for some reason, most of these donโt seem to come with an 18 mm which of course is what I needed. I was able to tap it onto the stripped bolt with a hammer, got a breaker bar, and was finally able to break it loose and finish my project. This extractor bolt did well and grabbed it extremely tight.

Metric is not standard as we all know
Nice kit , but the size increments are two big in variation Starting with the increments of the metric to standard size 7 mm too small 5/16 just barely grabs ,,have no room to bite on anything
