I have been using this product for years. I have tried other coffee maker cleaners but Urnex is my favorite. The coffee maker brews hotter coffee and faster after cleaning and I have a thermal carafe that looks new. Would totally recommend this product.

I purchased three different Urnex products, the descaler, the cleaner, and the grinder cleaner "beans." I had purchased these in the past, and was pleased with them. I realized it had been a long time since I did the process on my coffee machine and grinder. I found out how well the cleaner worked after the descaling process. I ran the cleaner through the coffee machine, and saw how brown the resulting water was when it ended up in the coffee pot. The directions are straightforward, you do the initial descaling, empty the water and repeat the process 3 more times with plain water to wash out any residual descaling residue. The cleaning process after the descaling is basically the same directions, so the initial cleaning, plus 3 more times with just water, and you're done, and left with what looks like a brand new coffee machine and better coffee as a result. It's suggested you perform this process every 3 months, or 100 filters. Since we use an extra dark roast (oily beans), the grinder gets quite gunky, so that too, has had a makeover. Now if I can only remember to adhere to the schedule! My suggestion is to purchase these products, especially if you have a really good coffee machine that you want to render great coffee for years.

First time buying a cleaner for my coffee pot. I’ve only been using descaler. I was pleasantly surprised at the results. My coffee pot has a stainless thermal carafe that is hard to clean and it was pretty effective removing the stains. As is the descaler, the price is high not to be pre mixed.

I was suspicious of this product. I'd previously used a vinegar rinse and also, the expensive product from Keurig on my coffee maker and didn't notice any difference. I had never heard of this, but it was mentioned by America's Test Kitchen, so I tried it and surprisingly, my coffee was noticeably better. It seems to make lots of suds, so after a couple of rinses, I removed the water dispenser and rinsed it out and then did one more rinse and I'm happy with the outcome. I do wish the directions were better. I decided to look at the customer reviews on Amazon and the videos were very helpful and I recommend that you watch those to get better instructions.

Amazing stuff. Descaled and even cleaned the pot of coffee stains. Only down side is the hole box is needed to do a full 12 cup machine. Each packet is only good for 4 cups of water. Would definitely purchase again.

Product came on time and worked as expected.

This along with a thousand other variations of a similar product works very well, and for a fairly cheap price. Almost every descaler is a mild acid solution, or powder to make a solution. There is very little difference between one or the other. In the past I have used name brand liquid variations which are of course, extremely convenient . . . but the final cost is way above what this powder costs. A bit of warm water, a little time stirring (or shaking) your concoction . . . and all set. Does a good job, at a very reasonable price. Skip the liquids, skip the designer brands . . . this does just as well.
