This product is exactly what I was looking for. The Apple CarPlay feature is perfect and that was what was most important to me. I got the backup camera as well and it offers a wide view and accurate guide lines. It does not have the lines that move when you turn the steering wheel, but it is still good enough with the fixed lines. The screen isn’t very HD (looks a bit pixelated) but the quality is fair enough. Definitely a great buy for the price.

I do not use Apple Carplay (it doesn't work with an Android phone, which is what I have), so I have no experience with that part of this unit, but I am completely satisfied with my Boss BE62CP-C unit. I selected this because it has a volume KNOB, which I prefer, although my installer added an adapter that lets me also use the steering wheel controls on my 2011 Camry. The touch screen display is clear, the controls and the user interface are sensible, the backup camera view is perfect, the sound is great. I have had no trouble with the Bluetooth connection to my Android Galaxy. I've only received one phone call while I was driving, and my contact had no trouble understanding me, and I could hear him clearly. Most of the time I listen to music on a 32G USB stick; the Boss unit didn't flinch at the size of my music library. The randomize function works, unlike my last MP3 player radio. I _really_ appreciate that I can not only turn the screen off when I'm listening to music, but also when the unit is switched off (showing a clock)--very important for safe driving at night. All in all I am very happy with my choice, and pleased that it came at a very reasonable price. This is highly recommended.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought the BE62CP-C which comes with the license plate mounted backup camera. The head unit itself was fairly easy to install and setup, along with the backup camera. However, the video cable supplied with the camera could’ve been a little longer especially when installing on a pickup truck and it prevented me from completely hiding it. Minor issue i guess. The instruction manual could’ve been a bit more clear on how to wire the backup camera as well. I had to watch Youtube videos to figure it out. Other than that, it’s a great unit and Apple Carplay works great. As soon as you’re plugged into the USB cable, Carplay comes on almost instantly whereas other systems I’ve used there’s usually a delay. I also have the included mic positioned on top of the steering column and test calls revealed my voice sounds perfect. My truck doesn’t have steering wheel controls. So having an actual volume knob was crucial as this unit does not come with a remote.

Great radio and features. In hindsight, I should have avoided the backup camera add-on, as it couldn’t be down with my car, but overall, this radio rocks, was easy to install, and plug n play with smartphone was smooth. Mark in NY

This was over 200.00 in price. I would have suspected that even though I don’t have an android it will still use android car play tech and it does not. So don’t buy this one if you have android. Camera wire was shy about 2 feet, if you have an extended pickup truck be prepared to buy more wiring. The contrast ratio on the screen is poor. Feels like a 100.00 radio not a 200 radio. Sound like a 100.00 radio. This is just for a work truck and backup camera is needed to hitch up trailers easier. Please consider this in the future for other pickup truck owners. Add the extra 2 feet of cable to the camera. Outside of that the software seems solid. I’ve had other Boss head units that were cheaper but better. Not sure why this one was built so cheap by the manufacturer. I would say the screen is the biggest disappointment. It’s just washed out looking and not vibrant. Looks like an iPhone 1 screen.

Had it installed in one of my automobiles. Goods great - sounds great. Can’t ask for anything better that that

This is an update to my original review: Originally I gave it a 2 star cause about 60% of the time it just wouldn’t connect to my phone, and then sometimes when it would it would be completely unusable because the noise came out in bursts. As I stated before in my original review I know my installation is correct because I’m the lead technician of an automotive shop, I’ve installed countless head units. Now however the unit has decided it will not connect to anything via blue tooth. I have having wires hanging out of my dash so I don’t know if the car play and all that works. But the simple fact I paid this much and the Bluetooth refuses to cooperate makes me upset. Save your money buy a pioneer or something more reliable.
