Good sturdy basket fits well

I try to use my bike for grocery commutes and this little basket in addition to a backpack gets the job done. I normally keep my U-lock in the basket and there's still room for more items. I ended up modifying the bracket that is held against the head tube with a supplied Velcro strap and instead used zip ties which means I have to cut the zip ties to remove the basket but the Velcro strap wasn't doing the job for me plus other than some bike maintenance I don't remove the basket.

First of all, I find this basket really useful. I have attached it to my bike predominantly to store my work backpack in it - no more sweaty backs. The installation itself is pretty straightforward and can be done within 10 or so minutes - I had to move around some shifter and break cables so that the handle-hooks fit properly over the handlebar. Given the mounting (some other larger baskets have more robust mounting brackets to the front axle), I was not surprised that it has some slight movements. That mainly explained the weight restriction. Putting larger items inside the basket, everything seems pretty secured, albeit the biking experience changes significantly with less maneuverability due to the front-heavy setup (the same fate as other front-loading baskets). The one pet peeve I have with this basket is the thin "handle", which is supposed to make this basket similar to those you find in stores. Given the preparation to attach it to the bike, it just seems not practical to always remove and re-attach the basket when needed. Thus I don't really understand the handle on this basket - it usually makes some rattling sound when biking and has no real apparent utility for me. Given the pricepoint, I will give this a 4* - its a good and affordable basket that does its job with some oddities in the overall design that I think there are better alternatives for.

The basket itself is of good quality. It holds my 10lbs, 2.5 year old dog safe and secure. The issue that I encountered is that the velcro strap that holds the basket in place is somewhat cheap. It tore after several uses and made the basket rub against the front tire, which made it impractical to keep the dog in it because I didn’t want the tire to damage. I ended up sewing the strap by hand and it turned out pretty sturdy. I went on a bike ride today and the strap and basket stayed in place even with the added weight of my dog. I’m just wondering how long it will take before it gives again. Overall, it is a good basket for the price. I wish the velcro strap was sturdier, though. If you’re only planning on using the basket for random items such as your phone, keys, snacks, and beverage then the strap should be ok and not tear.

I got this to put on my commute-to-work cruiser bike so I can put my backpack or whatever in it on the way to/from work. It's a perfectly sized basket for what I need. It's fairly deep, and not too wide, and perfectly fits my small backpack. It seems pretty sturdy. I've left it with the bike chained up outside for hours between July and now (mid October) in all sorts of weather, and it has not rusted yet or anything like that. It's pretty easy to attach to the bike, or at least I think it is, my husband did it haha... and it seems attached pretty well for the most part, though it does move around a tiny bit, but I think my husband can tighten it if he feels so inclined. It's not a huge basket if you're looking for something big, but it works great for me. I've actually managed to bring a cake to work in it, by putting the large cake holder in kind of at an angle. It did not fall out! Also I think it looks adorable, and you can take that ugly handle thing off easily.

Basket is good shape. Appears sturdy and size is exactly as expected Disappointed with purchase as not all parts were received with this resale item. no handle for basket.

With a little modification, I mounted this on the back of my 3-wheeled mobility scooter to make grocery shopping easier.

This basket fits perfectly on most bikes. I like the way it looks, the size and how easy it can be installed and taken off. This is a very affordable bike basket which is very durable.

As described, good quality. We installed it permanently with tie wraps so it would move and rub paint off the bike.

The paints fall off and leaves a mark on your bike.
