Bartolucci children's clock collectors are probably a small but enthusiastic group. I've beencollecting them for almost twenty years and, on occasion, their motors give up. I'd lookedfor replacement motors on and off but just a month again, i checked again. there they were.These are exactly the same motors that the clocks came with even 20 years ago, including theoption for a pendulum. I think i've ordered six and each one has been perfect. I've also beenable to repair a couple of old family electric wall clocks that gave up the ghost over the decades.I ripped out their guts and installed one of these. wonderful wonderful wonderful. make sure youget the right stem length

Perfect fit, appears to be keeping time well, and, most importantly, my wife is happy her clock is working again.It was very easy to install, and I did not need to do any jerry-rigging to get it to fit. As it is from the same company and same model # as the original clockwork, the stem is the same, I was able to use the hands from the clock, not the replacement ones that it came with, so on its face it looks exactly the same.There are three main differences between the original and this one: the pendulum connector bar is a bit shorter, but is not noticeable after installation; it has a quartz movement, so it has a faint ticking sound, which is inaudible, unless my ear is right next to it; and it only has one battery for both the clockwork and pendulum. The original had a separate battery for each part.Other clockworks from other companies that I was looking at had a stem with a different shape for the minute hand, and/or a different connection for the end cap that covers the middle of the hands, even though they were replacements for the same model #. Others had three hands; my clock only has two hands. Also some of the clockworks were larger and would not fit.

[Edit] I'm upping my rating from 3 stars to 4, because after this last battery change, the clock has run several weeks and is still showing the correct time.[Original review] This is an exact part replacement for the Haunted Mansion Grandfather clock Disney sells, right down to the patent number inside the battery slot. When the mechanism in my clock was damaged, I ordered this. Really easy replacement. The piece itself is not the most durable, and considering that, it could have been packed with more care. There's a little bar that sticks up on the back, at the bottom of the battery slot, that had broken off because the piece is just kind of thrown in the little box (the product box, NOT the amazon shipping box) along with the hands and some other hardware. I'm not entirely sure what the purpose of that little piece is, and probably wouldn't even notice that it was missing, if I hadn't seen it on the part it was replacing and then found the broken piece in the box. It may be to keep the pendulum from swinging too far, or to keep the mechanism from sitting too flush against the back or wall, so the pendulum can still swing. Since neither of those were an issue in my clock, I can't be sure. In terms of accuracy, I usually have to adjust the time once, maybe twice a week, when it gets a few minutes off. So nothing horribly drastic, but it won't be the most reliable time keeper. But if it starts being *really* slow, it's more likely your battery is dying, rather than a fault of the clock.I'd like to be able to give it 5 stars since I appreciate the price, that it came with two separate sets of hands and a hanging hook, and that it was exactly what I needed to fix my clock without having to worry about the fit. However, the durability, the less than perfect time keeping, and the carelessness it's packed with, means it's 3 stars.

Perfect and easy to install instead of expensive shop repair

This arrived promptly, was a good value since the local clock shop wanted $65 to replace this movement. I think this is the one that I had to return because the shaft was too long. Be sure to measure the shaft of your clock and look for the movement with the correct length shaft. Of course they don't make it easy because on will be in metric and the other in Inches. I think I got the clock apart and the part replaced in 15 minutes after getting the right length shaft. It has been working fine, although I thought it was losing time quickly when I first installed it. I think the problem was an old battery.

Pendulum would not work as clock mounting interfered with its movement. Also be careful to measure stem length carefully as I had to make a number of adjustments to the clock face for mine
