Great 30 pin if still needed. Great quality of a charger, thick and sturdy. Works close to an Apple charger, compatibility was not an issue for me. Standard charging speed and great overall value for your money.

It works great for older iPods

The 30 pin connector fits our Nano fine. The low profile of the connector is a good feature. The colooor was as advertised.

I had an iPad3 which I was giving to my niece and wanted to find a cheaper replacement cable to the original Apple 30-pin USB which had frayed at the 30-pin connection point and was beginning to drop charges/data syncs. After reading the varying satisfaction reviews between the OPSO and Amazon Basic 30-pin USB cables I ended up ordering both. I figured if one didn't work I could give her the other, and if both worked then she would have a spare. Both arrived the same day and I tried them out with different results using the original plug from Apple and a GE 3+2 2..1-A rapid charger. The OPSO cable is minimally thicker than the original Apple cable, most noticeably at the 30-pin and USB connection joints. The attached Velcro tie that comes with it makes managing cables much easier. Definitely a plus, but not the main reason to purchase it. The length is about the same. So far, so good. Compared to the Amazon Basic cable, which is about the same width but has much longer, and thicker, "reinforcement " around the 30-pin connection point (but it's about the same size as the OPSO at the USB end). Since this is where the original cable frayed, I was glad for the extra thickness. Next I decided to fully charge the tablet from about the 50% level. I noticed immediately that the OPSO was a little more difficult to insert into the 30-pin opening, but not difficult enough for it to feel like I was forcing it into the opening. The Amazon Basic cable went in much easier but also has a larger "head" than the OPSO (making it easier to grasp). Each time I had the tablet in its case (an Otterbox Defender), which due to its thickness and opening covers might be part of my problem, but still the larger Amazon Basic "head" worked best under these conditions. Now I was ready to "test" making a complete charge using the original plug from Apple. I used the OPSO cable first. Immediately there were no problems but about halfway through I received a message that "the accessory was not compatible". Ignoring this, I unplugged it, and tried again. The message kept popping up, but I continued to ignore it until finally I wasn't receiving any charge display and the tablet battery was at 76%. So I connected it to the rapid charger and I was able to complete a full charge (100%) without any further issues in under 2 hours. After a day of running down the battery again, I proceeded to charge it using the Amazon Basic cable. As I previously stated, it was easier to insert, and I was able to get a full charge using the original plug connection without issue. It also worked using the rapid charger a couple of days later. No messages popped up and no problems with any data syncing. Overall I am satisfied with both cables and feel relieved I can give my tablet away with two working 30-pin cables. My only recommendation would be a preference to using a rapid charger or better 2.1+ wall charger as the plug/wall connection since they appear to be more consistent than the older originals (but that's a matter of personal choice). I also have the Belkin 2.1 USB wall charger and a PowerGen 3.1/15 watt charger I use with my iPad Air. The OPSO and the Amazon Basic both performed well for the short term. Since some people stated they had problems later with their cables, I will try to update this in a few months if I receive any reports of problems, but for now, this cable did the job.

Works as expected! I couldn't find my original cable for my first gen Ipod so I had to get a replacement and it works just fine.

I have had my iPad for four years, and my iPhone for four years. The cables that came with them frayed. The iPhone cable frayed 2 years after purchase. I did not bend or twist the cable, so have no idea why that failed. The iPad cable frayed at the insertion site, and that is easier to explain. The iPad tends to lose it's charge faster, so I plug it in while using. I prefer to use the iPad on it's vertical stance, and that puts pressure on the insertion side of the cable. I would assume this happens frequently, so with all of Apple's expertise why are their cables not more resilient? I purveyed all of the cables that would fit Apple products, and found this OPSO USB Cable that had many positive reviews. It is 4 feet long, white in color. This has been specifically designed to connect to iPods, iPhones and iPads. It also meets Apple standards. It came well packaged, in an attractive box, instructions were enclosed. The price is very good and much less than you would find at the Apple store. I plugged my iPhone in, and it seemed to charge much more quickly than usual. Not sure how true this is so will charge all of my Apple products. A grey Velcro strap us attached to the cable for easy of coiling the cable when not in use. I am going to,purchase at least one more if these candles to use for travel. Very pleased with the cable, the price and so far, the ease of use. Recommended. prisrob 03-11-14
