SOFT, SOFT, SOFT. Smooth and very nicely constructed. Appreciate the envelope at the end of the case, because I don't like having the pillow exposed at all. SUPERB quality. And the price? Omg, they're a veritable 'steal'. And, you don't need to rely on fabric softener to soften up these cotton cases. You won't want to take your face off of them in the morning. Reset the alarm to luxuriate in them a few more minutes. They're amazing! And, a real winning feature: They did NOT shrink like SO many other brands. They also don't look like you 'slept in them' when you pull them out of the dryer. (like the pun? :-)) I purchased these in white and in smoky blue. The white is bright, not drab or dingy looking. Be aware, though, that the smoky blue does NOT look very 'blue'; definitely looks predominantly gray, with a hint of blue hue. HIGHLY recommend these pillowcases for their comfort, quality, price and ease of laundering.

I bought these Amazon Basics king size pillowcases because I wanted something simple, comfortable, and easy to wash, and they’ve been a great everyday set. The 100% cotton feels soft against the skin, and the sateen weave gives them a smoother feel than basic cotton pillowcases. I also really like the crisp white color because it gives the bed that clean hotel look. They fit my king pillows well, and after washing they still looked good without turning into a wrinkled mess. That alone is a win because I definitely don’t plan on ironing pillowcases. 😂 For the price, the quality feels very good, and the set of two is perfect for refreshing a bed without buying an entire sheet set. Overall, soft, comfortable, easy to care for, and a solid value.

Awarding four stars until I see how well these cases hold up over time, but at the moment, I am pleased with them. I always buy white and I always buy 100% cotton. These days, linens are made too small already, so once you wash them in hot water (if you use white like I do), they shrink up so badly that they no longer fit the pillows (the same is true for sheets). I washed these in cold and dried them on the delicate cycle. I removed them before they were 100% dry and let them finish drying on hangers. They did not shrink up very badly. I actually bought them not for my pillows but to use as covers over my hanging jewellery bags to keep the dust out of the bags. They fit the bag just fine after washing. If I wanted to use these on my bed pillows, I would prefer to wash them in hot water to kill dust mites. I cannot speak to whether or not they would shrink in hot water. My best guess is yes, but for my purposes now, I think they are nice enough for the price point to merit four stars.

These really are nice pillowcases. They aren’t thin and cheap, yet not totally exotic. I really like the hem. They are soft and a good size. At first glance, I thought that they seemed very long, but were perfect when I put them on my firm memory.-foam pillow. I’m going to order 2 more (they come as a set) because I change my pillowcase daily, as my medium-haired cat curls up around my head when I sleep!!! These are breathable and don’t make me hot!!

Great price point for a set of pillow cases, plus the fabric is thick and smooth to the touch. However, my biggest issue was when I removed them (brand new from the packaging-not a return) is that they smelled absolutely horrible! I'm not sure what chemical was used in the making/packaging of these pillowcases but I know that's not something you want to lay your head on and be breathing in all night. They smelled like straight vomit! I put them in the laundry hamper overnight and my whole closet smelled by the morning. I decided to wash them anyway and see how they came out. After a short pre-soak with vinegar and hot water thankfully the smell was completely gone. They came out of the wash fairly wrinkle free and no sign of fraying or loose threads so the quality does seem decent. Sadly, the color isn't quite as described. Even though it's listed as white, it's more of an off white or a cream. The rest of my bedding is a bright white so they won't match but I'll keep them as a backup set. I'm willing to give them a try and see how they wear over time but the initial impression with that smell was really off-putting.

This is a king size pillow sham, it is not a cover. Having said that, i have some extra large pillows and these covers fit them like a dream! Love love love it! They look so rich too!
