It works great, it looks nice, there's different temperatures choices if you want it for different types of teas or for anything else. It's a kettle it boils the water, I love it.

I really like this kettle. Looks very smart on the worktop and doesn’t take a lot of room as the base is quite compact stable Love the fact that you can heat to different temperatures. The ‘hold heat’ function is really useful and I’ve actually used it more than I thought I would. I like the clear Ninja ‘beep’ when the kettle is plugged in and when it reaches the correct temperature, The only slight negative is that it is a little hard to judge the amount of water in the kettle because the gauge is alongside the handle but that’s only a little niggle and not a great issue. Other reviewers have mentioned that it marks easily .. I’ve not found that .. small splash marks can be removed easily. Overall .. very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend.

We wanted temperature control as we make a range of different drinks and hot water for cooking. We were also looking for a kettle that can boil as little as just one cup so I'm not wasting hot water.This kettle has a totally flat bottom inside with no visible element so even a small cup of water is ok. I fill the kettle by filling up the cups I'm going to use and pouring them in to it, so I'm heating the perfect amount each time.I agree with the comments that it's a bit noisy, but it's not extreme either. The beep it makes when it's finished heating is fairly quiet, but loud enough to hear in the same room, so a good balance. It boils pretty fast since it's 3000w, and you can put in the exact amount of water which saves time.The inside is almost completely metal with just a bit of plastic for the water level indicator. I did want zero plastic touching the water, but at least it's minimal, and we have found no taste from the kettle at all.The electronic temperature sensor means this kettle switches off instantly, even when you heat it to boiling there's no billowing steam, so we've been able to put this kettle right under the cupboards without damaging them, which is a space saver. The footprint is pretty compact too.Edit to update that it isn't really getting any limescale build up at all. This was surprise as we have some of the hardest water in the UK and even one single boiling would usually make a fine layer of scale on the element! The scale forms when the water around the element starts bubbling - it's called nucleate boiling and it's when water touching the element turns to a bubble of steam. The water escapes as steam, but the minerals that make up the scale stay behind stuck to the element. Unlike kettles with mechanical sensors that leave the kettle frantically bubbling away getting scaled up for a while before switching off, this kettle is off amost instantly when it hits temperature. A lot of the time we're also only heating water to 70 or 95 - so no boiling at all. So far it's been a few months and all I've had to do is a couple of times wipe around the inside with a washing up sponge to easily remove a very small amount of powdery deposit. With our hard water I would have been tempted to buy this kettle just to do away with the constant descaling, nevermind all the other good things about it!

A very good kettle, i my self prefer tea but my daughters and sons are into healthy teas if there is such a thing, functionality is very easy as you have the pre settings or you can do it yourself by a few simple steps it really is not rocket science, you can do a cup or 1.7ltr and at 3k watts it does not take long at all 2 cups in under a minute 1.7ltr under 5 but this kettle as an Achilles heel, and its the temperature probe that sits on the base inside the kettle it has a wee plastic seal around it so if you only boil what you need then this seal will fail and it leaks onto the base as my mate found out, but if you keep a small amount of water just enough to cover the seal and probe which is not lot it stops that seal leaking, just by keeping it moist may be ninja needs to take a long look at that apart from that its a cracking bit off kit looks good next to all my ninja equipment they save me a small fortune over the year 😀

This review is for the Ninja Temperature control kettle - Aluminium version.Let me say at the outset that I would like to have scored this as 4.5/5 or 9/10 but those ratings are not available so its a 4/5.From starting to unpack my kettle, this feels like a premium product.Mine arrived inside the international shipping box. I can't be sure they will all arrive like that but it is a very thick brown card box inside of which the kettle sits withing its own display type box (thinner card with pictures and info etc) and again the kettle is fantastically well packed. Thick pressed card top and bottom which I could not even crush by standing on to get into our re-cycling box so very well protected.The kettle itself is inside a luxury feel insulated bag and even the instruction booklet along with a recipe booklet (nice touch) are inside a separate envelope.Kettle is simple to use and does not require any self assembly - just a rinse out and its ready to use.Everything in use is 5 star - it heats and boils very smoothly without the noise and steam of any other kettle I have had, including a Bosch temp control version this is replacing.Our kitchen is no longer full of steam when we have a brew as it slows down the rate of heating as it approaches the set temperature and then pulses the power to reach the desired temp which you can have anywhere between 40-100 decrees C in 5 degree steps (60-100 are presets, but you can manually adjust in 5 degree steps within 40-100 range. It then gives a very pleasant tone to say its finished. There is the option to select keep warm which will maintain the temperature for 30 mins or until you press stop if earlier.It is here that it losses a rating point for me because despite the premium features and price tag, it is not insulated and so starts to loose heat within moments of switching off (the digital display shows the temperature going down 1 degree at a time). Also, the outside of it gets burning hot as a result (there is an insulated area on the lid to enable closure which works well) and you need to avoid touching the outside after its boiled.The electric cable is shorter than any kettle I have used before at approximately 66cm from base of kettle to start of the plug, but its not that short that its an issue for me, but may be worth considering before purchase.The handle is nice to hold and it does feel heavy even when full to its 1.75L capacity It pours very smoothly and its easy to control the flow rate without dribbles.So overall I am very happy with my purchase and its a great kettle, but would have been even better if insulated.

Great lightweight kettle. The noise level is reasonable, not loud at all. The water level indicator is clear to see and illuminated when the kettle boils. The best feature is the hold temp, which, if selected, keeps the boiled water at the chosen temperature for 30 minutes. It also offers various temperatures for tea and coffee, from 60 to 95 degrees. The handle is non-slip and easy to grip. A simple press opens the lid, and a no-slip pad at the top of the lid closes it, so there’s no need to fiddle with stiff, hot lids. I just hope its plastic and stainless steel components are as durable. I will leave feedback. 👍

UPDATE:6 months in and there is rust. I talk to Amazon and it takes over an hour and using Chat then calling customers services before an accpetable resolution is obtained.AWFUL after sales service by Amazon*******************************Having had a Cuisinart kettle for the past 8 years it was time to replace it. After much research I had whittled down the options to replace it. The list included:Another Cuisinart, The Zwilling Pro, Sage Variable and the Ninja. The kettel had to be stainless steel, not black or any other colour.All were priced at around £100 to £130. So I waited to see what offers might become available........Nothing much happened price wise until Amazons 2 day Prime event whne the Ninja was on offer at £59.So, kettle purchased and 2 days later it arrived.Its a 'compact' kettle with a nice stainless steel finsh. It doesn't have the same quailty feel as my old Cuisinart, it feels a bit lighter and the lid mechanism feels a bit flimsy. But for all I know the latest Cuisinart kettel is made of cheaper materials than it was 8 years ago?The controls on the base unit are easy to see and easy to use. The water gets to temperature rapidly due to the 3kw element. The hot water pour easily from the spout.NOTE. when the water is approaching the set temperature the heating element cuts in and out for the last few degrees of heat. This might seem odd on first use but Its just the way the kettle gets to the desired temperature and it only affects the last 10 seconds or so of the heating time.Notwithstanding our initial impression , we really think this is a great kettle. OK we are only 2 days into ownership but for £59 I reckon this is unbeatable for value /quaility and I am glad we bought it.At its normal price of £99 I might, and its just a might, prefer to go with the Sage or Cusinart which are also £99.One other thing. Remember to immediately register the kettles warranty on the Ninja web site as this will extend the warranty to 24 months from purchase

Have a love hate relationship with this kettle.I had the temperature adjustable Bosch one for several years which decided to give up so thought the ninja would be an upgrade, the selling point was the stainless steel water tank opposed to a plastic one and I was hoping for good things.Where the metal tank is concerned, drinks definitely taste nicer. But my love of this kettle stops there - it’s completely flawed and cheaply designed.Firstly, it’s a burn hazard. Total burn hazard. The exterior of the kettle gets so hot and stays hot for ages, my Le Cruset stove top kettle doesn’t get this hot so there’s clearly a problem here. Appreciate it will get a bit hotter not being plastic, but it definitely needed better insulation and this is due to the thin metal case.Secondly the temperature control is completely over engineered, my last kettle let you choose the temperature in 10 degree intervals, this one lets you do it so precisely that to achieve your desired temperature it does bizarre things like starting and stopping 15+ times to whilst it tries to balance getting the exact temperature whilst heat is being lost through the thin uninsulated body. It sits there whirring, stopping and starting and doing all sorts of random heating cycles for like 3 minutes to get its precision. It’s a joke.And finally the overall design is just janky. It feels thin and I doubt it will last long. The apparent fingerprint free exterior is a load of kaka as mine is already looking awful after two days use.For the price (I got this on offer) I’ll keep hold of it as it’s five stars from me just for the stainless steel tank. However I’m generally disappointed but I don’t know why I expected better as every Shark Ninja product I’ve bought has been utter rubbish and not worth the hype.I reckon I’ll probably be buying my old Bosch kettle within a few months.UPDATE: 4 months of use resulted in the base throwing up error messages and it thinking it was boiled at 60 degrees. Shark dispatched a new base within a few days and so far so good..

Love it! The function of holding the temperature is underrated. I didn’t realize how much I needed it until I had it.
