- Whole Body Deodorant - Solid Stick - 2.6 oz, 2 pk (Clean Tangerine)

I have used Lume in the past with great results, but during a move my old stick of Lume disappeared for a couple of years. When I found it a few months ago it was kind of dried out, the coconut scent had vanished, and it smelled like a box of crayons. While it was still effective, I'm not a huge fan of smelling like crayons, so I decided to order some new Lume. I primarily got it because its safe to use in places....other than... my pits if you catch my drift. Also not a fan of aluminum. Lume works like a champ! I'm not really concerned with stopping the sweat, I'm more concerned with stopping odor. I work outside everyday and in the summer I'm drenched from head to toe anyways. So Lume is perfect for my situation. It eliminates all odor, and by all I mean ALL. I don't care who you are or how hard you scrub, at the end of a long hot day outside, your southern hemisphere will have an odor in some form. Lume has eliminated this for me. I have not had any skin irritation at all using Lume. I know everyone is different, but for me there have been no issues whatsoever. It does leave a little bit of a "film" on my skin, I'm not sure that's the right word, it's not greasy or gross feeling, it's more "silky" than anything. Definitely not unpleasant. And I'll take silky over stinky any day. I prefer the way Lume feels over "regular" deodorant. Now for the scent... I have a "super nose" and can usually smell things when others can't so this was probably the biggest and most important factor for me. I ordered the Clean Tangerine, Lavender Sage, and Unscented bundle. Usually any citrus scented products give me a migraine, so I was a little worried about that, but I read so many positive reviews about that scent I decided to roll the dice. It actually smells amazing and I tried that scent today and haven't had the slightest tinge of a headache. I think it's my favorite scent. The lavender sage does smell good, but the tangerine wins. The unscented did have a slight (and I mean barely noticeable if you have your nose right on the stick) "crayon" smell to it, but that does go away after it's applied. I gave my son the unscented stick to try and if it works for him I'll order him a "manly" scent. After I ordered this bundle, out of curiosity, I did some research regarding my original stick of Lume smelling like crayons. I was horrified to read mainly negative reviews about how Lume smelled like swamp butt and sour milk. I was really second guessing my order at that point, not sure if something had changed in their formula since i bought my first stick years ago. Tons of people were being repulsed by the smell of their Lume. There was speculation in many of these reviews and discussions that perhaps only some people are able to smell this and others are not - much like how cilantro tastes like soap to some people and doesn't to others. I must be one of the people that can't smell the foul odor that others do, or perhaps its only the cream that has that smell. I tend to think it's more common to see negative reviews because people are more apt to shout from the rooftops when they have a negative experience than when they have a positive one. It smells great to me! So if you have researched Lume and read all those reviews - just give it a try for yourself. I do find it somewhat difficult to spend so much on a deodorant, but knowing that it can be used ANYWHERE you have odor without worry, I think its worth it. Also, a little goes a long way. It says it works up to 72 hours, but I would rather be safe than sorry so I apply it once a day. Maybe one day I will do an experiment. At the end of the day I'm really happy to have found Lume and I'm so glad there is an effective alternative to applying aluminum to my pits every day that can be used in other places.

I tried Lume because my postpartum body odor was too strong for my usual natural deodorant, and I’m a natural deo user only and didn’t want anything with aluminum or phthalates. There was an adjustment period, to say the least. At first it seemed to make my body odor worse—as if it smelled like someone else’s body odor. It was gross. I’d read online about how it initially stinks as the mandelic acid is killing off bacteria, though. The smell improved as it dried after application, so I pushed through since I didn’t want to buy yet another deodorant. My body seemed to need a week or two, then the funk of the initial adjustment got a lot better. And once I had adjusted, it was really, really effective at completely changing the smell of my armpits to the soft powder scent. I usually use a quick swipe morning and evening and I basically never smell BO anymore even though I don’t shower every day. So that’s pretty great, but the actual life-changing part is that Lume has completely solved my armpit irritation. I’ve always been prone to rashes and shaving bumps, to the point where I don’t own many sleeveless tops. I thought it was just unavoidable with shaving, since the only way to get rid of it entirely has been not shaving my armpits. However, during the adjustment period with Lume I decided to shave to see if that helped the funk, and lo and behold, apparently the irritation was caused by every other deodorant I’ve ever used in my entire life, and with Lume I can shave without any irritation. Incredible. 10 stars. Will rebuy. Side note, I won’t rebuy the soft powder scent, since it’s too strong and smells a little fake. I’m hoping that vanilla or lavender might work better for me, since I’m used to smelling more like essential oils than an air freshener.

I’ve been using Lume Whole Body Deodorant for a few weeks, and I’m really impressed. It keeps me feeling fresh all day, even in the Texas heat, and works well on more than just underarms. The formula is gentle on my skin, doesn’t leave a sticky feeling, and lasts much longer than I expected. The scent is light and not overpowering. If you’re looking for a deodorant that helps control odor all over your body, this is definitely worth trying.

Lume Whole Body Deodorant, even though it is a little pricey and it comes in a smaller weight of product than a traditional stick deodorant, does what it says it will do. It stops the stink. Without giving TMI when I use it on the places where I have odor it prevents the odor from starting. I tested it out for the three days test, and after one application, sure enough, it was still working after three days at stopping odor. It's my new go too now.

I have sensitive, very allergic skin and this is the only deodorant I'll use. Pros: • Unlike Toms, this is strong enough to work for me for a full day, even in very hot climate (100°F+ daily) • Is the only deodorant I've found that doesn't flare up my HS (Hidradenitis suppurativa~ a painful inflammatory skin condition.) • I like that it doesn't feel too greasy or oily. Other deodorants like Native and Dr. Teal's were way too thick and heavy. Cons: • For the unscented variety, the smell is not pleasant at first. To me, it smells like medicine... and acidic. When I put on a T-shirt over it, I've asked others and they say they cant smell anything. And within an hour, I can't smell it either. I'm badly allergic to any artificial fragrance, so if this ever bothers me enough I suppose I'll just add a drop of lavender oil. But for now it's no big deal. • It genuinely stings and burns terribly if I apply it when I have even slight razor burn. I have learned to cringe through it, but in general I just shave very very carefully, and it doesn't sting normally. Notes: • It is advertised for 72 hour odor control; for me that is definitely not so. It works for a full day, which is fine for me because by then its time to bathe again Considering that it's the best deodorant I've ever found for my extremely high-needs pits, any downsides (including the price) are majorly worth it.

This stuff is amazing! Settle in as this will be a long review. I work in a hot sweaty factory. I never had problem with smelly feet until I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and had to get special shoes. Now my feet stink all the time. They sweat so much in these shoes that I can smell my own feet and it's disgusting. I also have to sit in a pile of my own sweat all day. My panties are usually soaked with sweat and underneath my bra sweats so much that I can wring out my bra when I get home. My bra stinks so bad because it's just full of sweat. Deodorant and FDS spray can only do so much. So I decided to try Lume. Oh my God, like light and day! I put the Lume on my feet bottoms, tops, between my toes. I put it under my big boobs and in all the cracks and crevices of my woman parts. So I went to work in my hot, sweaty factory and I still sweated all day long. My feet were wet, my bra was wet and my panties were wet. But miraculously there was no smell! None. Nada. This had to be a fluke. So I took a shower and did the same thing. Lume on my feet, under boob and woman parts. I did as much stuff as I could to sweat. I climbed stairs instead of using the elevator, I exerted myself as much as I could. I was a sweaty mess. And no smell! Seriously, no smell. So I decided to really put it to the test. The commercial says this last for like 70 hours. So as hard as it was for me and as gross, I took a shower, put the Lume on and went to work and sweated for 3 days without taking a shower. I did not reapply the Lume. And no smell! No way. Yes way! This stuff is amazing! Amazing! I did test it a few more times and this is what I discovered. It does last for 3 days. If you let it go more than that you will smell like a corpse. On the fourth day it's as if all the smell comes back at once. The stink was unnatural. So don't go more than two or three days without a shower.

I ordered a set of three different scents in June, now it is July. At first it was nice. Tried Clean Tangerine first. Nice at first, still nice till the end now. Not protecting from perspiration - I chose it as a healthier version. Covering bad smell sometimes better than other times. Tried Lavender Sage in between - not a good scent for me, not relaxing as I hoped it to be after evening shower. Later tried it again. Same result - still unpleasant. Now, that I am running out of Clean Tangerine, one I could use and enjoy with my surprise, I can say that application of these deodorants is very easy. Smell is good, if used right away. I don’t like the third “Unscented”. It was not really unscented when I purchased a set of three less than two month ago. “Unscented” turned to stinky. I will not purchase this more than one at the time. Easy application. Well, that’s all I come up with. Not sure if I purchase it again. Maybe Clean Tangerine. Other versions/smells failed me.

Not only is this deodorant amazing..but why did it completely clear up my dermatitis under my arms, on my hands and on my leg?!?! MAGIC. I’ve been using this for a few days and spots I’ve been having issues with for YEARS are now gone..I don’t understand but I know I’m now fully committed to this brand. The deodorant smells great, lasts about a day maybe less but at least the ingredients are better than pretty much any other brand. 6/5 stars

Smells good and is a very nice deodorant

I like this product. It smells nice. Doesn't stain my clothes and last all day. Im not sure about its 72 hr claim as I usually shower daily.
