Great for hyperpigmented, African-American/darker skin
My AA skin is cinnamon-colored has all of the aforementioned issues, and this serum evens it out nicely over a short time period, and I love using it after getting extractions or a chemical peel. Even if you don't do chemical peels or extractions, this serum is penetrating as you can feel it working on your skin- those with sensitive skin should be warned to use sparingly and be prepared for a slight stinging sensation. If you need a moisturizer I recommend the Elta MD Clear SPF 46. It's watery, pure vitamin C + ferulic acid, and does not contain any oils, so you'll need to use a moisturizer after letting it work its prickly magic for a few minutes. Don't let that stop you, though, because this serum is GOLD for stressed, hyperpigmented, acneic skin. Although my skin is highly melanated, I live in Houston so the extra SPF is a necessity to retain the evening results of this serum on my skin. I've had issues with my skin all my life since I started puberty early and the hormonal acne has been relentless well into adulthood, but this is the only TRULY non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging) product that has substantially helped even my skin- and I've tried A LOT of products. The Elta MD Clear SPF is also a great non-comedogenic follow-up and was recommended by my dermatologist as it also goes on smoothly with no ashy or greasy cast. About storage: I don't like the fact that you have to take the cap off and use the eyedropper to apply it. This introduces air into the serum during every use. Like heat, air oxidizes vitamin C, making go bad and produce free radicals which age your skin. To fix this problem, I bought dark Amber Glass Boston Round Treatment Pump Bottles here on Amazon. I sterilized it in hot water, let it cool, then transferred the serum into the bottle. In order to control the temperature, I don't keep the serum in my bathroom as it tends to trap heat which can easily oxidize the serums in glass bottles. Instead, I have a mini-fridge near my room and keep it in there so it's not a problem to grab it when necessary.

Love it, wonderful ingredients
Love it, wonderful ingredients, nice texture, no fragrance. The vitamin C in this is stable and non-irritating. I got my husband to use this and even though he is a no frills kind of guy, he loves this too! He struggles with oily skin and some redness. It evened the tone and seemed to improve texture for him, so he is converted. It wears decently under sunscreen and makeup, though if applied too thickly it can pill. Very nice product that will visibly improve tone, texture and even hyperpigmentation. I saw results within a week of using. My husband noticed almost immediately results for himself. I store this in the refrigerator to keep it fresh. The ingredients and results are superior to luxury brands many times more expensive, so it's an excellent value product. My one small gripe is that this product is supposed to be good to use for about a month, however, even with liberal 2x daily by two people, I find it hard to go through a bottle in a month.

Not bad but runny
I've tried a variety of Vitamin C serums - expensive and from Amazon, and I've found the NuFountain formulation to be better than even some more expensive name brands. I have several sun spots which have lightened somewhat and new spots are not forming. I do not use it every day. I also have sensitive skin and this has not bothered it very much, if I use the product sparingly, being mindful what I put on my face the night before (ie. Retin A or glycolic). HOWEVER, I find the solution to be extremely runny, which is why I will not be re-purchasing. We are told to the put the solution on our hands and then apply to our faces. This seems like a waste of product to me, and while it's easy to pat the serum into my cheeks, it's a little harder on my forhead and around my temples. I had tried to use the dropper to dispense liquid onto my face but the serum runs so quickly it sometimes got into my eyes. And, due to its runniness, I managed to spill more than half the bottle into the sink quickly, so am now forced to purchase another bottle, which, unfortunately, will not be this serum.

Good option for vitamin C serum
This is the only Vitamin C product I've purchased, so I'm not sure how well it compares. I like that they prepare it fresh and it's relatively affordable. I could maybe convince myself that it's been helping to heal some recent acne scars, but haven't noticed much with old ones yet. I've been putting it on every morning after I cleanse for a couple weeks and it seems fine. It's a little gritty and soaks in really quickly, so I end up needing more than 1-2 drops. I might not repurchase right away after I run out and see if I notice a difference without it.

BEWARE of THE SUN when you use this.
I honestly thought this product was too good to be true because when I used it my skin looked absolutely incredible. All winter I had beautifully clear even skin tone and my skin seemed to almost glow it was insane. BUT I wish someone would have warned me how photosensitive this stuff makes your skin. Because on the first sunny day of spring even with 60spf on my face I got huge brown sun spots that still won't go away after 4 months of trying. I stopped using the serum immediately after I realized what it was doing and even after months my skin is still very sun sensitive. WOMP

Great Vit C Serum at a Reasonable Price
I've been using Vit C serums for over 5 years now including some rather pricey "dr" labled brands. They have all worked for me and I am a strong believer in Vit C serums. However, after laying out some serious cash for various brands, I did a little research and discovered that the #1 ingredient in these serums, "L Ascorbic Acid" was NOT an expensive ingredient & neither were the remaining ingredients often found in these serums! So, I find no real justification for prices of $100+! By using NuFountain's brand I now save 75% of what I was spending. Main Pros of NuFountain Brand [besides reasonable pricing]: All vitamin C serums are extremely vunerable to loss of potency by exposure to both light & air. I commend the people at NuFountain for providing a "made on" freshness date on their labels and for using the correct packaging to minimize Vit C exposure [dark glass pump bottle vs clear glass dropper bottle]. I also like the fact that NF offers Vit C serum with added Ferulic Acid which helps to stabilize the Vit C thus keeping it fresher longer. In closing, I highly recommend Vit C serums no matter which brand you chose to use. And although the "benefits" are not noticeable overnight [may take 2-3 months of daily use] you will eventually see improvement. One word of caution you may want to begin with a low % Vitamin C serum to see how your skin reacts and then work you way up to a 20% serum. And, be sure to take "note" of the serums "color", as long as it is "clear" its still "good"...but if it turns yellow you no longer get the antioxident benefits from the serum & its time for a new bottle. Update: NF Customer Service: A few weeks ago I re-ordered my serum & after it failed to appear in 5 days I contacted NF. They immediately mailed a 2nd bottle which also failed to appear! Again I contacted NF and not only did they ship a 3rd bottle they gave me a full refund! Where the other 2 bottles ended up is any body's guess, but I can say without a doubt that NF's customer service is 5 Star!!!

So worth it!
I bought this based on someone's recommendation when I asked if I should splurge on the $100+ Skinceuticals ferulic serum. Obviously, you can't beat the price of this, so I went ahead and got it. First of all, it comes beautifully and carefully packaged, obviously done with personal care and I really appreciate that. Each bottle is individually marked with the date it was made. I've been using it for about 2-3 months now. Here's the thing - I already have somewhat decent skin, I'm in my early 30's, so no miracles need to or would happen no matter what. My skin is on the dry side and can get a little flaky sometimes with makeup, and I also have slight discoloration (red spots and marks from trying to pop non-existent zits). I have a whole skin care regimen, and use this consistently at night after cleansing and exfoliating and before moisturizing. The smell is not the best - BUT that doesn't matter to me, because this SHOULD'NT smell good, it's some pretty hardcore stuff! Point being, I wouldn't be able to wear it in the AM. Maybe you can! It doesn't take away from the product for me, because I think every nite is enough. Now, I can't say is this is better than the pricey Skinceuticals or whatever other brand. I didn't buy it, so I can't compare it. What I can say is that I do believe this has made my skin healthier and more even over the last few months, and I also believe that it is helping to prevent damage and keep it as young as possible. I can't tell you it's a miracle, because nothing really is, and I didn't need one. I just wanted my skin to be as healthy and healthy looking as possible. This does it for me, and I will be a repeat customer for a very long time. I highly reccomend giving this a try if you're getting into the ferulic serum game. You have nothing to lose because you just can't beat this price, and the pride nuFountain clearly has in their product. And let me be clear - I am not cheap when it comes to skin care. I will spend money when it's worth it, and all of my skin care products are premium. But after doing a lot of research about ferulic serums, and then trying this for a few months, I am convinced this stuff is just as good as the super expensive products. Stop reading a million reviews and just buy this, it's more than worth it.

Broke me out horribly. My skin is a nightmare now.
I don’t have problems with breakouts and very rarely experience a product that breaks me out. This product absolutely ruined my skin. It looks like every single pore on my face is clogged. It’s going to take me months to get my skin back to the clarity that it was. And I can’t even get a refund. So awful. Looks like I’m going to have to stick with the more well known brands because now I massively regret giving a smaller brand a shot.
