What tool should I use to cut the bar?

You could try a pair of tin snips or if you had something to hold it with maybe a hacksaw would work

Do I cut the bar with the lines shorter? I’m confused how to instal

The part I bought was exact fit and was easy to install. 3 screws and that is it. You might have bought the wrong part if it does not fit.

Does this come with a key?

No it does not come with a key.

How long are the handles?

The handles are 7 1/2 inches long and 3 inches wide.
