Better Call Saul - Seasons 01-06

Who would have thought that a show about Saul Goodman could be this good. It could be argued that it's event better than Breaking Bad in some episodes. The DVDs themselves are nice and have nice extras. There are a lot of them so it might be easy to get confused, as they are all together. But t's nice anyways.

If you've seen the show watch this. If you've seen Breaking Bad, watch this. Simply brilliant

This series remains my vote for the best ever, initially struggled with the tone as I expected another Breaking Bad but soon realised the intention was different. It's perfect and what a great cast.

I went into Better Call Saul expecting a decent spin-off - what I got was something far more thoughtful, measured, and, at times, genuinely brilliant. The show takes its time, and that’s both its strength and its risk. Where Breaking Bad often thrived on high-stakes tension, Better Call Saul leans into character - particularly Jimmy McGill’s slow, believable transformation into Saul Goodman. It’s meticulous, sometimes almost surgical in its pacing, but when it lands, it lands properly. The writing is consistently strong, with sharp dialogue and a clear respect for the audience’s intelligence. There’s no spoon-feeding here - you’re expected to pay attention, and you’re rewarded for it. Visually, it’s also far more stylish than people give it credit for. That said, it’s not flawless. There are occasional casting choices that don’t quite hit the mark - nothing disastrous, but enough to momentarily pull you out of the immersion. A few side characters feel a touch undercooked compared to the main cast, who are otherwise excellent across the board. Still, these are minor blemishes on what is, overall, a very enjoyable and impressively crafted series. It’s not as immediately gripping as its predecessor, but arguably more refined. If you’ve the patience for a slower burn, it’s well worth your time.

Loved this series. It's a little bit odd seeing familiar faces set before Breaking Bad that look older but it's still great to see them. I prefer the ending over BB.

What can I say, BCS is the best prequel to Breaking Bad we could have asked for, simply brilliant TV.

Mocny. Wciąga i uzależnia, trudno oderwać nawet na chwilę wzrok od ekranu. Podobały mi się nawiązania do Breaking Bad, ale i bez świetny serial.
