My first taste of this syrup gave me an immediate amazingly delicious zing. I actually sat without chewing my first bite of oatmeal and syrup for a few minutes to just savor how great it was. I have tried many kinds of maple syrup over my lifetime, but I've never had maple syrup that tastes this good. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Omgoodness this maple syrup is THE best and I have tried many brands! I have been hesitating for quite some time and finally purchased the set. The larger set was a much better price for 16.8 oz rather than 8 oz. However, I will be definitely buying the smaller set for gifts in the future.

Great gift

I bought 6 boxes of this, 5 as gifts and 1 for myself to try. When the package arrived I noticed all 6 boxes were in perfect condition. The bottles are packaged well, of nice quality like a high end liquor and will gift well as 3 bottle sets. I opened my box immediately, so far I have only tasted from a spoon. The white top bottle is delicious with a caramel taste, I could drink multiple bottles of it like on Super Troopers, it will pair well with buttermilk pancakes or waffles. The red top is delicious as well, it has a more earthy and bitter taste that is unlike any maple syrup I've ever had. And the black top is the most bitter of the three, it is an acquired taste but is good, probably not a great pancake syrup. It is also unlike any other maple syrup I've had. I will use it to brush on ribs and pork at the end of smoking while making bbq. I would HIGHLY recommend the white wax top syrup if you want amazing breakfast syrup, I will be sad when I run out of it. It's too expensive to keep on hand. But holy cow is it good. 6 months later: The remaining bottles of syrup are growing mold inside. I wasn't aware maple syrup would mold, but it does.

These bottles are big and I hate that I had to open each bottle just to try each as the first time purchase. I wish the manufacturer had included a small sample of each variety. Now, I have 3 bottles of syrup that I must consume in 6 months. Challenge accept but...manufacturer, please read this! The two light syrups are very close in flavor. The lightest syrup is only slightly milder than the middle variety. The dark is definitely dark and is what I have been looking for my entire life in maple syrup. When I was a kid we used to eat a very dark syrup, not maple because we were poor, but a dark syrup that had a flavor I will not ever forget. The dark version of this syrup is the same. You immediately notice that it is not your standard, buy anywhere maple syrup. It gets your attention in the best way. It enhances the flavor of already delicious Brussels Waffles. Overall, all of the syrups in this pack are wonderful. There is not one that I would say, don't try. I would say if your breakfast item is piled high with a lot of sugary, sweet toppings go with the light version so that you get the maple flavor that compliments your toppings. If you are eating plain pancakes or waffles go with the dark so that you can truly savor the rich, deep flavor of the syrup.
