Make Use of Old Headphones!
I have dozens of older headphones that have the Lightning connector and with iPhone upgrades, I was unable to use my new, out of the box headphones. There are many connectors out on the market for Lightning to USB C but the DO NOT work for audio inputs. This one DOES! Several prior reviewers mentioned that in use, the "connection" gets hot. I have used this numerous times, for 3-hour long plane rides, and have not had any issue with it generating too much heat. It's worked well with my iPhone and iPad. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a cheap way to extend the life of your older headphones.

Works for use-case
This works to retro fit lightening based headphones to the USB-C port. Note: this will not work for car Audio/Carplay. You will need to look at a dongle that supports data transfer.

Works with Square card reader but used a lot of battery.
This does NOT work for charging. This DOES work for audio and therefore it works to adapt my Square card reader to USB-C for my iPhone 15 Pro. However, it does drain my phone battery. The Square reader didn’t drain my phone battery before, so it’s definitely the adaptor. Nonetheless, it is a cheap fix for my craft fairs!

Just got it…
Soooo, I have no idea about durability (yet). I DO know that it completes the connection between my great Symphonized ear buds (wired) and my iPad Pro. AND it aides in providing the high quality soun (particularly of Youtube music videos) that I was looking for. Company has contacted me to ensure that I am satisfied and that the connections fit my needs. I am and it does. I have to say that this is an example of excellent customer service.

Did not work on my system
The description was that it would transfer audio, which is did not. My setup was on a Bose V35 dock station. 30 pin female to Lighting cable that worked with an IPOD. Then the purchased cable lighting female to USB C male to IPhone 16e. System showed acquiring signal but would never connect.

Amazing use everyday
I love this little gizmo. I use it multiple times a day. Apple is always changing ports and removing headphone jacks in iPads. This fixes that. As many wired headphones sound better than Bluetooth. Now you do not have to settle.
