A lot of "EDC" flashlights are really too big to comfortably carry with a pocket clip and are better suited to a holster, and a couple super-mini, single AAA lights I've tried are disappointingly dim and it seems like they always need a new battery. Been really happy with this one. It's both slim and short and disappears in the corner of your pocket. Very easy lock-out function to prevent battery drain from accidental button presses. The initial "low" brightness is good for finding keys or other tasks in the dark, or as a work light clipped to a hat brim. The stuff you'd otherwise be fumbling with your phone to unlock and turn the "flashlight" feature on. Plenty, without blowing out your night vision. Double tap for high and it's surprisingly bright given the size if you need more "flashlight" and less "penlight". The initial brightness on high does fade/thermal throttle after a few minutes, but it levels off at a claimed 150 lumen, which feels about right and still very usable for tasks that require more light. The double-sided clip is a nice touch- so it can work as a pocket clip, or clipped to a hat brim for hands free use (how many lights forget that one little thing is crazy). No convoluted button-tap patterns or sequences to remember. It only charges at about 2w, but it is USB-C (no stupid proprietary charge cables) and there's no fiddly rubber covers or crappy threads to take apart to remove batteries to charge. Just unscrew the buttery smooth focus ring all the way- it has a stop, won't accidentally come all the way off- to reveal the charge port. Very easy. For $20 really impressed, my new EDC light. Spent considerably more on lights I don't like as much and just aren't as well designed.

Carried every day for the past 380 days. Used nearly every day. Dropped many times and submerged at least once or twice. Charged once every week or two. After just over a year of this, it just powered off for the last time. Before total failure, the charging light was a solid purple (as opposed to the expected solid red) when plugged in, and would turn red if powered on while charging. My suspicion is that the battery was at the end of its life, and after opening it up I couldn’t find any gross failures like a failed solder or loose component on the PCBA. Long story short, it’s a great light, the two-way clip is perfect for clipping on to a hat, and it’s an amazing size and brightness for an EDC. Sometimes I wish it was magnetic. The on/off button is easy to accidentally hit when it’s pocketed, and the lockout function is a little cumbersome to be utilizing every time you want to use it. Did I wish it lasted longer than a year? Sure. Is it worth the $14? Absolutely. Did I just order two more AND the new 600 lumen keychain light with a magnetic base? You betcha.

Aside from a few minor things, this is a pretty nice light. I wanted something similar to my Surefire Titan but less expensive (i.e. I wouldn't cry if I lost it). I use it mostly for walking in a residential area at night. The low setting is perfect for the sidewalk and avoiding dog-bombs. The GOOD: The beam is even, plenty of spill but still has a solid center, very practical. The USB will charge from *anything* including name-brand computer chargers, and even directly from a laptop with a USB-C to USB-C cable! Runtime on Low is long at 7 hours. Overall finish is good, no sharp edges, and it feels well made. The Meh: The tailcap switch is not optimal for a tiny light, and takes some adaptation; I learned to activate it with my palm. Otherwise you have to thumb the switch "tactical style" and then flip the light around, risking dropping it. And it doesn't have a lanyard hole. The Lockout mode does not really lock out the light, and won't prevent it from accidentally turning on in your pocket, purse, etc. There is a good chance your light will be dead when you need it. It's still a useful light for daily use - walking, etc. as long as you know its limitations.

For such a small package, this thing is really bright! I'm old enough to remember the old "penlight" flashlights that were minimally useful. This is shorter, a tiny bit thicker, and probably 500x brighter. That said, it has a "normal" brightness, a super-bright setting, and a super-bright strobe. 10/10. I now have one in the glovebox in each of my cars.

I am a big flash light geek and must have about 100+ different ones out there and this is by far my favorite. Here is why and no I'm not getting paid for this ! Here are the reasons you want this 1. It's super small and fits in any pocket 2. It's very bright and has 2 levels 3. The reverse clip for a hat is one of the best features. Clips easily to a baseball hat 4. Lasts a good amount of time on low. High heats up a bit but manageable 5. Durability - This has been sent through the wash many times and survived. 6. I have 5 of these myself and have given more for gifts. Only Con , which isn't a con per say 1. It's so small you can lose then super easy and your wife can send them through the wash without knowing.

I bought this to use as an every day carry (EDC) item because I wanted something better than using a $1000 smartphone with a dimmer light whenever I needed a flashlight. However after using it I found some issues. Initially I only used it rarely but when we moved to a house without a fenced yard I started using it to walk the dogs every night. First the Pros: it's small & light enough to ride comfortably in the pocket of all of my pants that I usually wear. Once you get the hang of the double click to turn it on at full brightness it's easy to use, and small enough to not be in the way while holding two heavy leashes when I walk the dogs at night. It's easy to charge with any USB-C cable. Now the cons: The battery life is very short, as it died on me after just 3 or 4 days of twice per night 10-15 minute walks. It also gives you little warning since it doesn't get dimmer but instead starts cutting off more & more often until it quits completely. I expected to at least get a week of use per hour plus charge but I have to charge it every two days. The light it throws isn't the usual LED tight beam but rather spreads out in an ever larger cone the further away it is from where you point it. By the time it gets beyond 30 feet it begins to spread enough to not very brightly light up the area the way another light I have that only has 300 lumens is able to do. The beam is NOT adjustable from narrow spot to flood like every other LED flashlight I've owned. In conclusion it's adequate to light up the area where the dogs are at the end of a six foot leash but not for many other uses that aren't also very close up. I wish it were different since the small size lets me pocket it instead of clipping it onto my belt where it would get in the way every time I fasten a seat belt. YMMV?

I have had this flashlight for almost two years and it is the perfect EDC light. Far too many want a 1,000 lumens, why? Why do they think they need that much light? Why do you need the extra bulk? Answer: you don't. If it's dark and you need light your eyes are adapted to the dark and using a bright light does teo things, First: your eyes have to adjust to the bright light which takes longer than adjusting to a lower lumen, and when you turn it off it takes longer for you to regain "night eyes". Second: if you worry about giving away your position, the brighter the light the further the light travels [to the naked eye]. All in all this is a great light, rechargeable and the charge lasts for a long time. The lock feature is also a plus so you do not turn it on and draing the battery in your pocket or bag. I use this light for EDC, backcountry, and security, and I have never needed more. Do I have larger, more powerful lights for specific purposes? Yes, many more expensive options. But for EDC this is a fantastic and affordable tool.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This little light may be THE perfect EDC. The low setting is great to simply Illuminate, and the high REALLY throws the beam and lights up a large area. I typically charge it every other day while working. I'll charge my phone and then the light. Easy USB C which is wonderful. I still love this enough to give 5 stars, but two things could be improved upon: I carry in my left pocket with pocket clip (knife with clip im right pocket). Occasionally the power button on back of light will get hit and accidentally turn the light on. Also, the clip is a double wrap type clip. I used it night fishing on the bill of my hat and it's like it somehow stretched it out a bit....never has "sprung" back down. At any rate, this is still such an amazing bang for the buck I'd have to still say 5 stars!!
