Kind reminder, if the scale is lifted up and placed in another position before weighing, the user will need to press the scale with more than 5kg strength to recalibrate the scale to 0.0, and then the weighing will be accurate. That means the second weighing will be the accurate weighing. If you'd like to have the first weighing accurate, then please do not move the scale and simply place it at the same location otherwise it will need to be recalibrated for the first time weighing.

Is there an athlete mode for people with muscular builds?

Please understand there is no athletic mode for people with muscular builds.

The smart scale utilizes bioelectrical impedance technology, and an ITO layer is added to the surface of the scale. When the human body light foot is stepped on, a closed-loop electrode is formed. Then we can use it to calculate the body composition according to our formula and the user profile (including gender, age, and height). Currently, our formula for the measurements, except for weight and BMI, does not absolutely apply to the physical condition of the athlete (or people who exercise often). The scale is a home-use device mainly for trend tracking. The users can keep it to check the body change in the long turn.

What's the difference between the p2 pro and normal p2? in plain english please. (the product page suggests heartrate measurement and ito technology)

Yes, the only difference is that the P2 pro has extra heart rate measurement feasture and the ITO layer. ITO refers to Indium Tin Oxide. It is a transparent layer that is put on the glass of the scale and provides high conductivity for detecting body compositions.

The smart scale utilizes bioelectrical impedance technology, and an ITO layer (for P2 pro) or conductive metal piece (for P2) is added to the surface of the scale. When the user stepped on the scale barefoot, a closed-loop electrode will be formed. Then we can use it to calculate all the body composition according to our formula and the user profile (including gender, age, and height).

These two techniques are using the same logic of Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis, which makes an estimation of body composition (e.g. quantities of fat mass and fat-free mass) by running a small electrical current through the body when the measurement is taken. The difference is the material.
