Gliding Discs - Carpet - Purple

The reason I bought these is because I have the other flat disk type gliders and those are horrible to use on carpet. I bought these gliding disks as they are bigger and a bit dished. The work 100 times better. Your foot stays on the disc, and it slides nice on the carpet. These are definitely Worth the extra money.

The Gliding 9" Sliders are a great addition to a home workout routine, especially for exercises performed on carpeted floors. I really like the larger 9-inch size because it provides a good amount of surface area and feels stable under my hands or feet. The sliders make it easy to add a different type of movement to exercises that would otherwise be fairly simple. They work especially well for core exercises, lunges, mountain climbers, hamstring curls, and other sliding movements. I appreciate that they are specifically designed to glide smoothly across carpet without requiring a separate exercise mat underneath. The movement feels controlled when using them properly, which allows me to focus on form and technique. They are lightweight and easy to store, making them convenient for a home gym or small workout space. I also like that they do not take up much room compared with larger pieces of exercise equipment. The sliders can be used for both upper- and lower-body exercises, which makes them surprisingly versatile. They are also useful for creating more challenging variations of familiar exercises without needing heavier weights. The smooth gliding motion can make even simple movements feel more demanding, so starting slowly is important. I appreciate that they are an affordable way to add variety to a workout routine without investing in bulky equipment. The 9-inch size also makes them easy to see and position during exercises. Overall, these sliders are a practical and versatile piece of equipment for anyone who wants to add sliding exercises to their home workouts. I would recommend the Gliding 9" Sliders to anyone looking for an inexpensive, space-saving way to make carpet-based workouts more challenging and engaging.

Very good on carpet. Not functional on hard floors.

If you look at the size of the other discs from Amazon, they are quite a bit smaller than these. This makes a huge difference. I tried the smaller ones and these sliding discs are perfect. I love the extra width.

As a personal trainer with over 15 years of experience, I’m always looking for simple, effective tools that add variety and challenge—and gliding discs are one of my favorites. These are incredibly light and easy to travel with, which makes them perfect for workouts at home, in the gym, or on the go. They provide an excellent challenge for the core and overall body stability, and I use them for a wide range of exercises that benefit both the lower and upper body. For best results, you do need to use these on carpet, where they glide most effectively. If you’re looking to upgrade your low-impact workouts, these are a great addition. Some of my go-to exercises include gliding mountain climbers (a fantastic core, upper body, and cardio challenge while holding a plank), lunges in all directions (forward, reverse, lateral, and transverse), and kneeling single-arm forward reach—which really fires up the core and adds an intense single-arm push-up element (in a good way!). These discs come at a great price point and are definitely an upgrade from using furniture movers (the original DIY version many of us started with). That said, I do still prefer traditional Valslides. They offer a bit more cushioning for hands and feet, and I personally like the semi-rectangular shape over the circular design, as it works better for foot placement. That said, these gliding discs are still a solid, affordable, and effective option for most people. As with any new exercise routine, it’s always a good idea to consult your doctor first and start slow. If possible, working with a qualified personal trainer can also help ensure proper form and muscle activation. Overall, a simple but powerful tool to elevate your workouts.
