Tera Barcode Scanner with Battery Indicator: 2D Wireless, D5100, Blue

The Tera 1D2D Barcode Scanner works great for the school library program I use. I am able to move at least 18 feet away from my computer to check books in/out and do inventory. It even reads old barcodes with no problem. There was no set up. It is ready to go. The battery is long lasting (I used it all week without recharging). My school would not buy me one due to cost. This was affordable enough for me to buy myself. The best thing is not getting a cord wrapped around your foot and tripping. IYKYK!

Seems to work pretty well out of the box. Does NOT support Aztec codes, as advertised. I had planned to use Aztec codes for a project but they will not scan. Switched to datamatrixes instead and they work very well with this scanner.

Great scanner Easy plug and play

Does everything my little shop needs & QR codes. I found it particularly entertaining that the instruction manual is written mostly in bar code. You scan it to change settings, check battery, alter volume, and more. The wireless capability is especially freeing. We can scan items into our PoS system from all over the shop. It's just a nice little scanner at a good price. We'll see how long it lasts. But it was inexpensive enough that if we only get a couple years out of it then fine.

received product, plugged into laptop (Windows 10) and main computer,,neither worked. I was expecting it to start functioning once plugged in. I thne went into instructions, and it still did not react. I called service, and afte explaining what I did, we both agreed that I should return to Amazon and obtain a replacement. I am now awaiting the replacement. I sure hope the replacement works. If not, I expect a refund. If it does, I'll report here either way. I received the replacement. Same problem..I did not want to call for help, this time because the advertisement says "Plug and play". I even tried resetting to factory setting several times. the only thing that worked were the volume control . When you advertise "Plug and Play" make sure it is plug and play.

I previously bought an expensive scanner from a different vendor which was so hard to configure. Yet didn't work with the QR codes, so I had to return it. But, this little scanner was so easy to use! It works right after you plug it into your computer, you only have to open an excel document and that's it! It also comes with a dongle so you can use it with or without the wire. It shows the battery level with a light and can set it to turn off after a certain time if not in use. I highly recommend it!

This scanner is great. Shows the battery level actively in bars so you'll know when to charge it, you can make it silent with no beep, make the beep quiet, loud etc. You can set the time to change how long it will be turned on for after activating it to make sure its either on long enough for constant scanning or to make sure it's not pointlessly draining the battery after scanning one thing. I had one problem with the barcode adding parentheses around the first two digits (Always with 10 for some reason showing up as (10)0708 etc and I reached out to their support email and got a quick response with a resolution to solve that issue. Overall satisfied with the scanner especially after they helped to fix an issue I had with it.

I bought 3 scanners for my work place. It works every time, even on a small code bar. Very happy with my purchase

works very well. a little slower to scan than the 1D model. does not misread and loads information through usb very fast
