Great quality at a reasonable price!
Bought these almost a year ago they are truly the best I have had in my 76 years of walking upright. There was no break in time and they are still as comfortable as the first time I slipped them on. The support is still strong and soles show no sign of wear. They cleanup quickly even after tramping through dirt or mud. Very pleased !

Merrell Moab 3 mid hiking shoes
I have a large problem with my feet. I have a very wide foot and a very high arch. I have been wearing Merrell shoes for a very long time. My actual shoe size is 7 1/2 5 E width. You can not find stylish shoes in that size however 8 Wide will also work. Merrell shoes in 8 wide willfit my feet perfectly. The shoe is made high enough and wide enough for my foot. I purchase a new pair every 2 years. The dhoe is made with excelent quality. I would recommend them to anyone who wants an excelent quality shoe that is very comfortable. The shoe is also waterproof. It is made for hiking but I just use the for daily use because they are so comfortable.

Fit as expected, comfortable, but not squishy, solid footing on loose ground, light weight
This boots are light weight, and fit as expected. I have wide feet, I often have to size up to get shoes that fit. I got these in 11.5 wide. They fit my foot exactly, and because my foot is not crammed up in the toe box, my feet stay a little cooler. It is important to have the boots laced properly, or your foot can slide a little. I find the footing to be solid, even on sandy south FL soil. I hiked some river trails with my child and his scout troop. I had very solid footing, and I was even able to help others, and confidently traverse everything I came across. it is a fairly powerful feeling to be that confident in your footing. I am used to sneakers, so this was a huge upgrade to me. I found these boots comfortable, but with a caveat. These are not crocks or Uggs comfortable. They don't offer a squishy soft ride. These are utility comfortable. They are form fitting to my arch, and they are designed, first and foremost for traction. If you need soft, these are not the droids you're looking for. I really appreciate the breathability, fit, traction, comfort, and over all aesthetic. These are 5 star in my book. I will probably even wear them in settings where all the features are not needed.

Surprisingly light weight and comfy
These boots are great for a casual hike. I'm not qualified to comment on how they would hold up on mountaineering or very long hikes, but for most people they are a great buy. I got these at a great price and I am very happy with them. Even with the padding, I would recommend using wool socks like "Fits" brand or "Smartwool" - something with at least 70% merino wool. Even in the summer you can wear them because they wick sweat away and are antimicrobial so they won't stink. Definitely a good idea if you are wearing boots for the first time or for a longer hike. Pros: - Surprisingly light weight yet also sturdy - Very comfortable and generous padding on the inside - comfortable even on first wear for 5 mile hike with hills - The grip seems to be quite good. I didn't slip even on muddy and wet rocks while others around me did. - They do seem to be waterproof up to a few inches of puddles. I didn't test them totally submerged up to the top of the boot though. Cons: - They aren't the most fashionable boots, but that makes it easier to get them muddy and not care too much.

Extrememly comfortable, but insole support does not live up to expectations
I will be providing an updated review after a month or so of wear, but here are my first impression. These live up to and exceed my expectations for width. The toe box on the wide with my size 12 foot leave plenty of room for appropriate socks yet snug up well for a quick walk on a local trail. They breath well, but I might invest in a pair that are waterproof. the outer sole grips better than other boots I have worn, the stiffness of the shank provides excellent feel on rocky terrain. The thickness of the heel adds some level of comfort on uneven rocky terrain, however, I suffer from heal pain and plantar fasciitis, and the inner sole has not lived up to my expectation based on the product reviews on independent sites. Of course this can be remediated with after market insoles which I plan to try, and will provide an additional update to this review detailing how and whether this addressed my concerns with this boot. Overall I would highly recommend these.

UPS DRIVER REVIEW
I bought 2 pairs of these in black two years ago. I love these boots, I'm still on my second pair and they are in good shape. I wear these 9.5-12 hours -----5-6 days a week they are plenty rugged for what I'm doing the tread is still good even after over a year of heavy use. My size is 12.5 which is hard to find and they fit perfectly. I would buy 20 pairs of these so I have them for the rest of my career if I had the money. They are very light weight too. Perfect boots. I always wear cotton socks and dry them out over night if they get wet and they stay very clean and don't smell. Just very good boots I can't say it enough. Good water resistance though this is not the waterproof model, excellent ankle support, and very good grip. Last thing I'll say is they are very good looking boots as well.

Great trail runners.
I loved these so much I bought another pair in a different color. I had my misigivings about the lacing systems being these sitched fabric hooks, but, so far, the boots seem to be holding up well. Fitment: As someone who struggles with footwear due to the shape and wideness of my feet, these boots are a solid win in my book. I was able to order them in my actual size, without having to go up. One minor issue: The model for these boots was likely a wide foot with a higher arch. I did find them to be a little too spacious, as I have lower arches, but, I solved this problem with some cheap Dr. Scholl's inserts. What (minor) slippage I had was resolved. Weight: They don't weigh anything. Lacing: The laces seem to be good quality - a little long, however. Traction: No issues what so ever on the trail. I am confident when walking over smooth or wet rocks. Cushion: I have some bone spurs on my heels and these boots provided adequate cushioning on their own so I don't have any serious issues there. Waterproofing: I don't expect any lowcut to be waterproof beyond light rain. They dry very quickly if you're wearing the appropriate socks. Overall: These are really solid boots. I am overally really satisfied with their construction and design. They are super comfortable and feel durable.

Worth it
Light, durable, good quality and great traction for hiking. Although after 10 miles I may have to replace the soles.
