Is this actually non slip? Does it have rubber backing?

No rubber backing. Soft, stretchy material. I wear it comfortably all day long. Does not slip on my head. It solves my issues of keeping hair out of my eyes and lifts hair off back of neck (brain stem) for better cooling air circulation.

How wide are these, like the band part? Not the circumference but the material width?

Around the back at the thickest part I would say they’re about 3.5”-4” or so wide. They are gathered at the front where the knot is and that’s about 1.5”-2” wide.
