Does it prevent back siphon?

No. There is no check valve in the unit. This was designed for internal system or all in one (aio) aquarium where the power head or return is inside the aquarium and not underneath it.

Will this fit into my 3/4” return bulkhead?

Yes it comes with 3 adapters and 3/4" is one of them.

Just received today... it’s hooked up to a 260gph pump and it’s not spinning?

There could be some plastic or debris in between the gears causing it not to spin. Please find us online and give us a call so we may properly assist and get it spinning.

Does this restrict the flow? If so is it dramatic difference?

It doesn’t restrict the flow. It makes it a bit more concentrated, but that makes the gears work on the rotating nozzle. I have 3 running in my 75 gallon tank to reach hard to get flow to spots and they work great.
