Beck/Arnley 044-0393 Auto Trans Filter Kit

I've used this filter on a 2011 Mazda 3 twice now. The first time I used it was when I did the initial flush and fill service. Mazda used adhesive to affix the transmission pan to the transmission housing which required scraping and cleaning but once that was complete, the provided gasket went on without any issues. The first time installing this and running it, was no issue and neither was the second. Upon the second time for a flush and fill service I dropped the pan again and inspected the gasket. It was in very good form but had cracked on the exposed sides not sandwiched between the transmission housing and the transmission pan. This was just exposure to the elements and seasons and did not go as far into the actual pan area as to cause any hairline cracks, it was just weathered but the main gasket material on the inside that made the seal was 100% perfect with no leaks. The first service was several years prior and the second and most recent service to the transmission was done due to the lower cost for the unit while still offering a name brand filtering solution and the install was simple. Just make sure you have a pan underneath to catch all the fluid still in the filter when you pull it down. The provided gasket goes on dry, and make sure your mating surface on the transmission housing is dry and clean as well. The torque on the bolts for the transmission pan may need to be tightened a bit more than if you opted to install without a gasket, but once you get an even low torque on each bolt all the way around and work your way up to hand tight snug, your set. Overall the Mazda 3 that this filter was installed in has done great with this filter and should I ever have to flush and fill a third time, I will be using this same part again for it.

The filter and gasket were the perfect fit on my 2011 Mazda 6i. Once installed, I took the vehicle for a test drive and all the shift were smooth from 1st to 5th gear. Doing the preventive maintenance will definitely extend the life of the transmission. I'd recommend to replace the filter every 15k. Luckily the previous owner took good care of the vehicle.

Excelente producto se sienten de buena calidad tanto el filtro como la junta, ya veremos en la práctica si sella mejor que el silicón que es como viene originalmente de fabrica en transmisión (FS5A-EL)MAZDA o (FNR5) FORD por cierto ambas llevan aceite ATF M-V IDEMTSU, BECK/ARNLEY,MAZDA o FNR5 MOTORCRAF (NO USEN MERCON V" NI LV") en su defecto puede ser algún multi vehículo que especifique compatibilidad con M-V

Perfect fit for 2012 Mazda5 , no need for any silicon gasket or any adhesive the one you get will give you perfect seal , the good thing is that you can reuse the gasket after opening the pan , i opened the pan two times and reused the same gasket with no leak at all , the strainer also a perfect fit , all in all this is the best deal , if you are planing to buy go a head don't hesitate

The gasket is made of rubber , I use silicone to hold it in place just incase you ever remove the pan again it will stay in place. The filter also fit snug . Satisfied overall.

Bought this for my 2009 Ford Fusion with the Mazda FNR5 transmission despite Beck Arnley not listing any Ford applications What else can I say, it does the job. Filter and gasket fit perfectly. Paired it with Beck Arnley Type M5 automatic transmission fluid which is a fairly reasonably priced alternative to the OEM Mazda fluid and the now-discontinued Ford fluid.
