Nice little vacuum pump
I haven't had this product for long so I can't report on it's long-term durability, but I am very pleased with the quality and useability, especially considering the price. This package says only OEM, but the pump is branded Mityvac and I believe that it's sold under that name as well. The product appears to be designed and sold by Lincoln Industrial of St. Louis, MO. It is manufactured in China. See [...] This set looks a lot like the model MV7000 with one fewer right-angle bleeder adapters. Note however that the MV7000 is rated to produce 25 PSI pressure. The OEM 25136 I received from Amazon can only develop 12 PSI (measured on two separate guages) The set comes with a nice selection of adapters for attaching the pump lines to various vacuum ports and even some plugs for plugging hoses you've temporarily removed for testing. Another accessory that's worth mentioning is a collection vessel that allows the pump to be used for bleeding brake systems or other small hydraulic control systems. It also has two different right-angle adapters for attaching to common automotive bleed fittings. What I didn't expect is that the pump has a second port that can apply pressure. This could be useful for testing controls the require a pressure signal rather than a vacuum signal and can supply up to 12 PSI. By the way, the vacuum port can produce a 25"Hg vacuum as advertised. The pump is very easy to operate to draw a vacuum or apply pressure, requiring only modest hand strength. It has a trigger that can be pulled to release the pressure/vacuum when you're done testing. The release is "all at once" and would be difficult to modulate if that was important. Drawing the vacuum can be done with reasonable precision. Applying pressure is less precise since it's developed by the strength of the pump handle's return spring. But can be modulated if necessary by taking small strokes with the pump. Another unexpected plus is the user manual. It contains 23 well written pages that describe how to use the tool as well as diagnostic proceedures and some theory of operation for PCV valves, EGR valves, Spark Delay valves, electrical/vacuum solenoids, thermal controlled vacuum switching valves (called PVS, TIC, and DTVS by Ford, Chrysler, and GM respectively). The manual also has a section on brake bleeding as well as cautions when working with ABS systems. It even has a separate section dealing with motorcycle brakes and bench bleeding master cylinders. For some reason there are an additional three test procedures specifically for Lawn Boy mower primer bulbs, fuel inlet valve, and tank shut-off valve. The content is repeated in Spanish, French, and German for a total of 70 pages. Even though I have a pretty good general understanding of the systems discussed in the manual, I actually learned quite a few tips and tricks that I didn't know. It was well worth the read. One thing to note is that the documentation specifically prohibits the use of this pump with flammable liquids and gases. I suspect that this is more for safety and legal reasons than anything else. But, who knows, maybe the pump seals wouldn't handle the solvent power of gasoline or alcohols. Air and brake fluid are officially supported and that's what I bought it for anyway.

Definite do not buy
I purchased this in April 2022. I have previously owned other OEM tools and had good experiences before. Fast forward to Feb 2023, I finally got this tool out of its sealed package to use it and it was a total piece of junk. No vacuum whatsoever. I guess I should have tested it when I bought it. This experience has turned me against the OEM brand. I expect a new tool to work when I need it, and this one never worked from the first pump.I would give it ) stars for everything. Total waste of money.

The right tool for the job!
Granted, I've never used a different brake bleeding tool. I borrowed one identical to this from a friend and it works so well I had to get one of my own. Definitely read the directions and save yourself some time off the trial and error. It works exactly as described and I had no issues.

Worked Pretty Well
I recived this product faster than I anticipated, which is always a plus. I ordered this item because I watched a Youtube video, in which the machanic used this device to bleed his brakes on a Ducati. I know most of the reviews stated that they used for a car, so I figured this would help. The product does what it's suppose to however, when trying to create pressure on the slave cylinder bleed screw, I had to hold the tubing on the bleed screw to ensure a more secure fit. This made it somewhat difficult to operate the pumping mechanism while trying to manange the level of brake fluid left in the resivior. I found this to be annoying but yet, I was able to complete the task at hand. Also, because the distance from the master cylinder to the slave is so short, the draining process was quick. In other reviews where people used it bleed car breaks, they complained about how long it took to actually flush the system. This product is great for motorcycles aside from the having to maintain pressure on the nozzle end. I would still recommend this item and would purchase it again. Good luck!

Good value and easy to use.
Did not work for my brake job but I'm not saying it wouldn't work for you. My brake calipers were Chinese made (Onaion Reeper) so that might have something to do with it? I had to buy a vacuum pump that hooked up to my air tank, that did work for me.

Get what you pay for
Obviously this is not a high quality pump, but it is fairly cheap and does the job. Only issue I had was the retaining bar for the handle broke off while bleeding the last break line. I replaced it with a small allen wrench and it works fine.

Nondescript unit works exactly as advertised
I acquired this unit to replace a mechanics grade vacuum pump unit. It worked exactly as advertised with no learning curve and no sloppy parts. The unit has a manual but frankly it is not needed as it is plug and play. you should be quite happy with this unit for causal use.

Scammed. The item is NOT what is ACTUALLY shown. Cheap.
This is not the product that was described. I feel robbed and scammed. This product is deplorable quality. It broke on first use. In fact, it broke BEFORE its first use. I'm not satisfied with this purchase at all and would advise everyone to avoid this listing due to the false advertisement of the product. The item that was listed here was a good quality build item made of metal. However, the product I got was 100% plastic and broke literally 2 minutes after unboxing it. Edit: NOW THE SELLER HAS UPDATED THE LISTING AFTER SCAMMING EVERYONE (picture of previously listed pump above). FALSELY ADVERTISED A PRODUCT OF BETTER QUALITY AND THEN AFTER PEOPLE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE CHEAP QUALITY ITEM THEY RECEIVED, THIS SELLER UPDATED THE PICTURES AND FLAT OUT IGNORED THE COSTOMERS WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT GETTING SCAMMED. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER. THIS PRODUCT IS ALL PLASTIC AND BREAKS IN FIRST USE. THIS PRODUCT IS DEPLORABLE QUALITY. THIS SELLER DOES NOT CARE. DO NOT BUY! TOOL DESIGNED TO PULL 30 IN. OF VACUUM AND BROKE AT 10 IN. OF VACUUM AFTER 3 PUMPS. ENTERNAL SUCTION CUPS POPPED OUT AND HANDLE PIN UP TOP CRACKED OFF. I AM OFFICIALLY REPORTING THIS SELLER.

Disappointment
Unfortunately DOA. I bought it because there were a lot of positive reviews. I ignored the negative ones, unfortunately. I returned it.

Piece of Junk
Purchased this in 2022 & used only time. Yesterday when I did replace my car break pads, then started to bleed the system. It was not working. So this tool does not stand for even light duty . Find another one that is better than this

A solid built vacuum pump for a good price.
I haven't had or used this product for long so I can't report on it's long-term durability, but I am very pleased with the quality from using it so far especially considering the price. There did seem some controversy over this as i didn't know what type i was going to get the plastic Mityvac or the metal OEM tools one so it was a toss up because both pictures are shown but still purchased because i was curious to know. Arrival, drum roll please (the metal gold one with the green handle). AHHHH exactly which one i wanted because this seems to be the more durable one with the solid handle than the plastic one. In plain words it's made in China but for the plastic one the package says OEM but probably branded as a Mityvac. Some seem to think this can apply pressure and it will NOT as it will only apply a vacuum. The one i received goes down to about 30 in-hg but do not expect it to go down that far. The set comes with nice selection of adapters for attaching the pump lines to various vacuum ports and even some plugs for plugging hoses you've temporarily removed for testing. Another accessory that's worth mentioning is a collection container that allows the pump to be used for bleeding brake systems. It also has two different right-angle adapters for attaching to common automotive bleed fittings which is great because they brake bleed function is nice for the DIY. The pump is very easy to operate to draw a vacuum which only requires about 3-5 pumps and most likely achieved full vacuum. It has a trigger that can be pulled to release the vacuum when you're done testing. Something to note is the release to release the vacuum is done all at once and cannot be modulated to release it slowly as some may want to know that as it could be important. Applying pressure is less precise since it's developed by the strength of the pump handle's return spring. Another thing i thought was good to have is it contains 23 well written pages that describe how to use the tool as well as diagnostic procedures and some theory of operation for PCV valves, EGR valves, Spark Delay valves, electrical/vacuum solenoids, thermal controlled vacuum switching valves (called PVS, TIC, and DTVS by Ford, Chrysler, and GM). The manual also has a section on brake bleeding as well as cautions when working with ABS systems. The user manual is really helpful for others that are DIY's and don't understand the full technical reasoning behind it. There is some really useful tips and tricks in the book i thought were good even though i am a mechanic. Another note is that the manual states that it prohibits the use of this pump with flammable liquids and gases. I suspect that this is more for safety but up to you on how and what your use is for. Overall i used this sometimes daily and haven't had an issue. The storage bin is just a plastic storage tray with cut out but what i did it cut around the plastic and stuck in my drawer and just pull the plastic cover off and use the tool. Every time i am finished it goes back in storage. The tool has held up quite well and seems to be very decent quality for the price i paid because i see some prices for reactivity the same sets and goes upwards to $100 so i think this was a fairly good price for what you get. I have used this to test for many 4x4 related problem on Fords with the vacuum system (cough, st&@$d cough) design but seems to work well. Otherwise the product was a good investment and an added tool to my collection.
