Wrong voltage, seller told me an adaptor would work, blew the device up as the device is set to US voltage not UK. No refund offered. Wish me luck getting my money back from the seller - doesn't look likely. Complaint raised with Amazon as seller should know this device is not compatible with 240v countries.

The Hitachi Magic Wand is such a brilliant bit of kit, I thought I should write about how it changed my life. When I arrived home early from work and heard screaming from the bedroom, that I shared with my wife, I immediately rushed in to find my wife Sandra and her friend Alice, partially dressed on our bed. Alice explained that my wife was suffering from acute lower back pain and that she was trying to give her relief, using something called `pelvic massage'. She said that this was a technique she had learned during her time at the Greenham Common peace camp. Apparently the cramped sleeping arrangements meant that the women in the camp often needed to help each other in this way. Not exactly slow on the uptake, I immediately knew that I couldn't let this situation continue. The poor dear needed some serious help for her aching back muscles. I immediately ordered a Hitachi Magic Wand. When it arrived I proudly presented it to Sandra and offered to use it on her lower back. She thanked me profusely but said that she prefered a womans touch and added that she thought Alice would be only too pleased to help her get some relief. Alice arrived soon after. They went off to the bedroom together to help Sandra with her problem. I was quite concerned at first because the loud screaming returned. When i tried to open the door to help, for some reason I found it locked. Anyway the screaming subsided and eventually Sandra and Alice came out of the bedroom. Judging by the smiles on their faces the Hitachi Magic Wand was a complete success. They explained they would need to repeat this treatment often and that perhaps it would be a good idea if Alice came to stay for a while. A few weeks later Sandra and Alice asked me to move out. Since the divorce I've had a fair bit of time on my hands and so I'm catching up on my Amazon reviews.

If you google "fake Hitachi magic wand" you will get pages that show you what to look for in the genuine article. The seller shipped this from Hong Kong. There was no warranty card, a 110-250V round pin plug instead of a 110v flat pin plug, the wrong switch on it and a CE sticker that it shouldn't have.

I purchased this item paid in sterling yet an American plug was on it, not impressed!

This is my second wand as the motor has had a real thrashing over three and half years....;-D Many times Ive had muliple orgasms and did not want to be left without my trusty friend when it finally decided to retire! DONT bother with any pale immitations! this is the Rolls Royce of vibrators!!!

Not usable as it has a non UK plug which the supplier failed to mention earlier .When I pointed it out the supplier asked me to use another gadget called an adaptor and refused to do anything

There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said about this. It works exactly as advertised and exceeds expectations. It's easy to use and store. Despite the size It's very easy to conceal in a drawer or box of some kind. Cleaning is simplistic but since you cannot use soap & water you need to find something else. I've found using sanitary wipes & an unused toothbrush does pretty well. It is POWERFUL. Anyone who is super sensitive should use this with caution. The low setting is all I ever need and the high setting is simply too much for me. It's very easy to use with almost zero set up time. You plug it in and bam. If you're a maniac and want to turn it to the high setting when you're using it it's extremely easy to hold and press the button with only one hand. It feels sturdy in your hands but it's not at all heavy or bulky to use (unless you're comparing it to say a bullet). I absolutely love it. I have purchased this same one before and I'll do it again. I'd give this 10/10 stars if I could and I highly recommend to anyone wanting to relieve some stress or soothe aching muscles. It's very versatile. 😏 Drawbacks: The 1st of the only 2 draw backs is that the vibrating head stains pretty easily. It's white so its guaranteed to get a little mucky looking but it collects stains like nothing else even with regular cleaning. Sanitization is easy but it still will be stained. I've tried scrubbing as hard as I dare and it won't come out for me. It's okay for me since I use it alone but it may bother some people. The 2nd of only 2 drawbacks is that it's LOUD. Anyone within shouting distance of you will know exactly what you're doing so keep that in mind. Using it under blankets or pillows does little to muffle the sound and I wouldn't ever do that because it can cause it to heat up far more quickly than what it normally would. HOWEVER the reason it's loud is because its extremely powerful! It's only a drawback if you have roommates or are bothered by the noise. If so I'd try some soothing music.

A friend showed me the link to buy Magic wand massager, I would have been lost looking for something any way near it. I was impressed with packaging. Altho purchased for intimate use the first thing I applied it to was a sore muscle in my lower back. Within minutes pain subsided. No need for details on the intimacy issue except to say yeeeeeeeeeeee hawwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!

When you purchase the Hitachi, you've got to know what you're getting. You're not getting one of those novelty vibrators that'll work for about 100 uses (six months at best) and then putter out or otherwise breakdown. You're also not getting a regular vibrator, with service vibrations simply do the trick. The Hitachi is incredibly powerful, packing up to 6000 rpm on the high setting, its reputation is very good and it will last in all likelihood a large portion of your sexual life. We're talking years, and decades if you care for it well. In addition, the vibrations that the Hitachi provides are not only powerful, but penetrating and deep. It woke up parts of me that I didn't know were there. It's funny because I thought that the sheer vibrating power of the Hitachi would make me less sensitive and stop me from enjoying my partner as much. Wrong. If anything, it was a sexual aid and made me more sensitive and responsive to my partner, and even other vibrators. I've had my Hitachi for 4 months, and at the beginning I didn't like it as well because it "worked" so quickly that there was no build up. But after spending a few months with it, it's hands down my favorite toy. Also, amazon's pricing is a steal for what you're getting; other websites or sex shops sell the Hitachi for as much as $50. The one thing to watch out for, and the one downside, is that although it is a machine with incredible, deep vibrations and last power, the material isn't really built for sensitive tissues, and it shows. It's made out of vinyl and with frequent use, even if that's just every couple days or so, it tends to irritate skin. Even so, it's worth the buy and putting a condom over the head or buying an inexpensive attachment (I just ordered the natural contours g-spot attachment) you can make an awesome toy damn near perfect.

Of first note is that a number of sellers are selling different versions. I will not call these knockoffs however. From what I can tell, Hitachi did not want its name on the product anymore and a newer version may have been produced to different manufacturer specifications, possibly resulting in lower power an reduced vibrations. We had one of the "lower power" versions and it appears to be pretty close to the original, though maybe not as durable. Either way, if you are replacing an older Hitachi, you will want the original. If not, then it probably does not matter. If you Google the issue, you will easily find some information to help you identify "original" versions. Basing my review on the original product, I have to say without question, the product works in minutes in most instances, and even with very little "warm up" if you get my inference. However, the design of the unit leaves a lot to be desired. For example, even though the cord is more than long enough for reaching an outlet, the cord could be placed on a swivel to make for easier handling. Also, in repeated use (in our case as many as 9 times, the handle design can cause fatigue. Also, guys will have great difficulty in trying to use it on their partner due to the design and weight distribution. They will get frustrated. The product can be used while engaging in "other activities" though in some positions, the large size of the head may get in the way. We maintained 5 star rating due to the brute effectiveness of the product. On a side note, we have tried many of the attachments specifically designed for the Magic Wand and have been disappointed to date.
