Jealousy
In one word, this movie was about music & jealousy. Arjun (played by Ajay Devgn) from childhood always wanted to be a " Rock Star " and worked hard to develop the skills and to make that happen. His childhood friend, Mannu (played by Salman Khan) always wanted to live life to the fullest ( read wine, women, and song) and had natural talent, basically he was gifted, but didn't take it very seriously. Arjuns bring Mannu to London from Punjab to be a part of his music group - and during their first concert realizes that Mannu has something that he covets: talent ! He is angry with God, angry with Mannu who is just having fun doing gigs, and angry at himself and realizes that he has to destroy his friend Mannu in order to meet the goals and dreams he set for himself. This is the first movie I've seen with Arjay Devgn as a lead. He was excellent and acted this role to perfection. He was the total package from the look, personae, and fabulous clothing - he was intense. SK's role as the country bumpkin in the big city was priceless and at times showcased his comedic timing brilliance. He didn't have a clue what was being done to him and played it that way.I loved, loved the music."Tapke Masti" and "Khanabadosh" are two of my favs from this movie. But I think all of the music is good. So, if you want to be entertained, have some drama, but basically feel good. London Dreams is one of my choices- you'll watch it more than once for sure.

Is this even legit?
I really liked this movie when it came out and was surprised that I was able to find a DVD for it so many years later especially since there aren't that many credible sites available in the US to buy bollywood movies from anymore. I would give this DVD a high rating HOWEVER I can't because halfway through (1hr:23min mark to be exact) it starts skipping and then freezes. You're literally just sitting there watching a frozen screen. I first tried watching it on my PS4 and it froze, then I tried it on my computer, the same thing. I think I got a FAULTY disc or something. I wish this wasn't the case cause now im back to searching for a credible source for my dvds again

Long Live 'Pra'!
This is the story of 2 `pra's' (literally `brother'). It is about 2 childhood friends in Bhatinda, India. They are bonded by music too. When they grow up, one has overcome obstacles to realize his dream to get a chance to sing at Wembley's, and the other is having a good time in Bhatinda. One is a `natural' about music, and the other works assiduously to reach the top. The `natural' comes from Bhatinda to London, and becomes the more popular of the two. In London, there develops great friction, professional and non professional, between the two friends, and the one with ambition decides to crush the other.Meanwhile, the London singer is smitten by Priya, of London. But, there is self punishment by flagellation since pursuit of his goal must brook no interference. The love interest will have to wait. However, nature abhors a vacuum, and Priya becomes a point in the `triangle' between the two friends. The professional jealousy is finally dissolved with one noble friend rising to the occasion. The acting (Salman Khan, Ajay Devgun, Asin and Om Puri) is average. The movie falls flat, as it is based on the love of music, and that is average too. The whole story could have been told in much less time (the movie runs for more than 2 hours). There is nothing in this movie to make one want to look it up.

Could Have Been Better
Vipul Shah once again returns with his uniform Punjabi flavour & the India-London theme. Taking another step ahead of his "Namaste London", this time he impressively comes up with a good take on pop singers and the back stage drama in their over famous lives. But in an otherwise well directed, intense and emotional drama, he is sadly not accompanied by an equally enjoyable musical score (as in Namaste London), which was much needed by the subject and its script. So minus the songs and uninspiring music, here we have a well directed movie with some entertaining & enlightening moments and a worth watching climax.

Typical Bollywood Bloat
A rags-to-riches cautionary tale straight off the Bollywood assembly-line, "London Dreams" is a lengthy, superficial account of an orphaned Indian émigré who finds that life as a rising British pop star isn't all it's cracked up to be.This cliché-ridden film pads out its interminable two-and-a-half-hours-plus running time with overheated melodrama, soul-searing angst, bloated musical numbers, and cutesy slapstick routines. And, of course, it's overflowing with that kind of self-congratulatory smugness that seems to be the hallmark of so many of the commercial films coming out of India these days. The movie does take us to many colorful London locales - befitting a wide-eyed tourist from abroad - but one could get pretty much the same effect using Google street view and not have to put up with all the drama.
