Worked as expected.
I got this for my Mac Mini which I use with Claude Code. The Mac Mini isn't connected to a monitor (I remote in) but this keeps the device running at maximum power. Just plug it in, and do your normal stuff. Very easy to use.

Thrilled!!! Solved video glitches with 2013-2018 Mac Pro!!!
I read on a chat group about using this thing to solve the video glitchiness with the Thunderbolt monitor output on a 2013-2018 Apple Mac Pro computer. IT WORKS!!! Now, with this thing plugged into my computer's HDMI output and having the HDMI set up to mirror the Thunderbolt output, I can run the Thunderbolt output at 4k 60Hz, with absolutely no glitchiness problems. This $10 gadget has solved a major problem with my recently acquired computer that I was very concerned I was just going to have to live with. I'm totally stoked.

Finally something that actually does 4K (3840x2160)
I've tried a ton of different headless "4K" adapters and pretty much they've all been garbage. IE Would only do 4K on select devices. ( In my case non of the ones I've previously tried would do 4K on my Macs, typically at best they would hit 1080P ) This one here worked perfectly at 3840x2160 and even let me push things to 4096x2160. Note: This device did 3840x2160 @ 30Hz for me (but that's good enough for VNC/remote connection)

Works as advertised
I run a Mac Mini M1 for a media server.. and I had no idea that running headless was a performance impediment for computers in general - but macs in particular. Linux machines can run headless without the need for specialized adapters (depending on the distro) and use-case.. but that's not the case with Macs.. go figure... So.. as per suggestions here... plug in the adapter.. enable screen sharing.. reboot and you good to go.

It works very nicely with my 2012 Mac mini
I run a few headless Mac minis for myself and clients, and these HDMI plugs work very nicely to give me full screen resolution when I log in.
