Can the threaded stem be pulled from the caster? If so what is the size of the stem in the caster? I want to use wheels on unit that has 7mm stems

No, the caster cannot be pulled out. I used them to replace casters that just disappeared and are yet to be found. The old casters pushed, these casters screw in and are more stable and secure. They also can be locked. I was very pleased, and the size was perfect!
