Fabricoat Fabric Paint & Upholstery Dye, Black, Flexible Finish

I have to admit, I was skeptical at first. I had a very faded, rose-colored, custom-designed living room chair that I purchased years ago. Using a paintbrush, I was able to bring it back to life—it now looks beautifully rose-colored again. Please ignore the pillows; they were an afterthought. I purchased the large bottle and used about two-thirds of it. The paint dried quickly, doesn’t rub off, and didn’t leave the fabric feeling stiff. The chair is made of velvet, and it remains soft and velvety to the touch. Just look at the side arms—they were almost a pale pink before painting. They’re still soft and comfortable. I was very close to throwing this chair away, but this fabric paint completely transformed it. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to update or refresh furniture.

This is a very good product. Glad I came across it with the help of Amazon Rufus. I have a 5 seater microfiber sectional and I was abe to used almost 2 bottles. I could use 1 but i am OCD. It took the paint very well and 1 coating could do, but I went back the next day and apply more. For the 2nd coat, I didn't spray the chair,I just used the sponge. I also mixed it with the tinner recommended. All in all it turnaround fantastic.

So far so good! It looks incredible. I was very Leary of using dye on fabric. I used it on the carpet in my 1987 Monte Carlo to refresh it until I can replace the interior. I have to say I’m impressed. Do your research, take your time, and do as much prep as possible and this stuff will work great. I ordered 2 bottles of 2500ML and only ended up using one. A dark color covers better than a light color. Make sure you remove anything you might get the dye on as it turns permanent after it’s cured. I removed my seats and all lower trim in my car. Vacuum your fabric religiously and I even steam cleaned mine as my research suggested applying to a damp carpet for best results. I then applied the dye working in multiple directions throughout the entire carpet and then used a bristle brush to scrub it into the carpet in circular motions. Wear gloves, and use materials you plan to throw away. Like paint brushes and the bristle brush. Once finished, go back over the area with a fresh paint brush and just simply brush the carpet one direction across the entire area to get a uniform finish. Apply more coats as needed as per the instructions after 2 hours of the first coat. I did one coat and that was all I needed for my application. Prep work is everything. It takes 24 hours to cure to the touch however the instructions say to wait 7 days for it to 100% cure to avoid color bleeding onto your clothing or shoes etc. patience and prep work are key. Worked great!

[Raspberry] Worked pretty good. I painted a brand new microfiber/velour king size headboard (it's a Modway headboard in the very light gray color). I used a spray bottle and sprayed it down generously before applying and used a paintbrush to apply. It took about 45 minutes to get each coat and two coats used 75% of the large bottle. The color was pretty inconsistent with the first coat but the fabric was still kind of soft after, but the fabric definitely changed with the second coat (it is no longer 'brushable'? or soft like most velvet or microfiber is). I'm not sure how I'd feel about this if it was a chair I'd sit in but thankfully I painted a headboard that won't be touched. I was less concerned with keeping the texture of the frabric and more concerned with the headboard being this color - 5 stars for color, 3 stars for changing the fabric - 4 stars over all.

16 cushions covered! I had serious doubts that 1 bottle would do the job, but was pleasantly surprised. There isn't enough for touch ups, but who cares that awful much when these are outside and the dogs will get on them anyway.

If your fabric is faded from the sun; don’t be scared this stuff works like paint and puts a little upgrade to your furniture without the huge price. A tip for cost savings is use this for the cushions you sit on because it stays soft and adds a little hint of color in even the first coat. And then the borders and sides of the couch buy acrylic paint and paint those areas you don’t sit on. The acrylic paint is stiffer but it also gives a starch to the fabric so pillow cushions are easier to fluf. The first photo shows light green the second is the dark green. I like the light green it looks richer like a chartreuse color. The original color was an olive gray green but it faded and just looked sad.

my chairs were a l ight velvet but the paint rubbed off and it did not go on even , i read it was good to spray water so it would soak up but still i tried scotchguard to and sealer and i finally tossed the chairs , don't use on velvet unless your ready to spend alot the standard bottle and the double size is used about 4 bottles worth and it was not worth it , try it one but for velvet google said put some water on the fabric to soak and on here it said do not use water . i'm not sure i would try again I used the blue on yellow chairs and it was pretty teal but not good enough, i wish i would have used fabric spray from another brand for exterior chairs and this brand doesn't have it that i know of i gave up and got me new chairs and tossed the others ones there was no way i was gonna keep going as a former designer and faux finish artist I would not go for this, besides i installed new wood plank tiles i black and i preferred to find a deal on ebay for white bar stools with wood iwas better off. , this paint did not go on even and i had the best brush perhaps it works on regular fabric.

Managed to turn a bright red pet bed a dusky plum. Not quite the purple I wanted, but it did an impressive job with just two coats. Washed out of the sherpa lining easily with some dish soap and baking soda without undoing the outer fabric dye job. Easy to apply and dries fairly quickly.

Funkade bra, billigare att måla om min rullgardin än att köpa en ny i annan färg. Var noga med att kolla så färgen täcker helt, upptäckte när jag hängt upp gardinen att det är lite ljusare partier på några få och små ställen. Lägger det på mig och inte på produkten. Målade två lager.
