I’ve been using this 4TB SanDisk SSD for a while now and overall it’s been a good drive. When I first opened it I was a bit surprised because the casing is polycarbonate plastic and feels lighter and a bit flimsier than the usual metal‑bodied SSDs I’ve had before. Not a huge issue, just not what I expected. In everyday use it’s been fine. Installation was straightforward. Windows 11 picked it up immediately and I set it up as a GPT drive without any problems. Before installing it inside my PC, I used it in an external enclosure to move everything over. When copying a big batch of files it does warm up a bit, so I pointed a small fan at it just to keep things comfortable. Once fitted internally, temperatures have been totally normal. In terms of speed, it’s been decent for a SATA SSD. When I was moving a single large file to the drive from a fast NVME, the initial burst was quick but it eventually settled at around 310MB/s once the buffer filled. Copying a large file from the SSD to the NVME was noticeably faster and stayed around 530–535MB/s the whole time. For general use, loading and saving things, and normal transfers, it’s been perfectly fine. It’s easy to fit (no screws included), and it comes with SanDisk’s five‑year warranty which is reassuring. I paid £289 for mine, which seems to be a decent price at the moment. Overall I’m happy with it. It’s been reliable, no detection issues, no odd behaviour, and it’s a solid upgrade for extra storage. I’d recommend it.

Worst ssd ever I had only 2 months playing games on my rog ally z1 extreme I used it in a enclosure I was playing halo than I crashed back to pc main screen data when from ntfs to raw format. So I checked it's health it went good 100 good to bad in an instant brutal death I only had only used for 20 hrs+ from new

Swapped this SanDisk Ultra 3D 1TB SSD into my aging laptop that was still running on a mechanical hard drive, and the difference is night and day. Boot times went from well over a minute (sometimes closer to two on a cold start) down to around 12–15 seconds. Programs open almost instantly, Windows feels snappy again, and transferring large folders or installing games is noticeably faster without any of that spinning-disk lag. Installation was straightforward. Standard 2.5-inch, 7 mm form factor dropped right in with no issues. It hits the advertised speeds (I’ve seen sequential reads right around the 560 MB/s mark in real use), runs completely silent, and stays cool. The extra capacity is perfect for my photo library, work files, and a growing Steam library without constantly juggling space. I’ve had it for a few months now with zero problems. Rock solid so far. If you’re still on a hard drive or just need a reliable, no-fuss SATA upgrade that actually delivers, this one is an easy recommendation. Highly satisfied.
