Is it a lace glue? Can it be used as glue? Or is it just like a gel or edge control?

It’s more like a glaze it definitely holds like like a glue and molds like an edge control and acts as both! I love it!

How long does it hold down lace? temporarily like got to be, or longer, like ghost bond?

It gives a really firm hold. I like to use it for temporary daily use but you can achieve at least a 2 to 3 day hold. With this and proper care it is not messy and it doesn't leave any residue like the white crusty look that got to be will have So I don't think you'll get a longer hold like I got to be lace glue. But you will be able to get a really good hold

What about build up? And what do you use to remove it from the lace? Is it water soluble?

You may see my answer on here but I'll answer again.  To remove from head you can use warm water, alcohol, hair or olive oil, or Witchazel.  You can use a washcloth (which is better) or your fingers to massage in until it losens up.  Once off believe it or not warm water with dish soap is good you can massage in with hands AND use a washcloth. I have even found foam hand soap to be good (make sure it is foam).   ALWAYS clean residue off of lace after each wear to prevent build up.  For me this product wasn't all that strong to begin with, but I do like using it for baby hair, and a little (just a little) for flyaway hair or to flatten hair  when I am in a rush. Hope this helps.

Hello, firstly for me it wasn't that strong to begin with.  But you can use warm water with a washcloth and massage in, alcohol, a hair or maybe olive oil, or Witchazel. Once off to clean your lace believe it or not dish soap is good with warm water you can use a wash cloth then too, I have even found foam (make sure it is foam) hand soap to be good.  ALWAYS clean residue off your lace everytime you remove it, try not to let it build up.
