Unique Loom Solid Shag Collection Area Rug (5' 1" x 8' Rectangle, Grass Green)

Beautiful!!! I was leery about purchasing rugs online, especially for the sizes that i was ordering. I bought a house that had been updated with new hardwood floors, and i really just prefer carpet. It was going to cost $6000 to carpet my 2,000 sq foot home, once i paid for carpet, pad and installation, plus, it would ruin the brand new floors, and if i were to sell, buyers may prefer hardwoods, or may not like the color carpet i chose. I decided to look into getting the carpet cut into room size rugs at the big box home improvement store and then just have the edges bound. It was going to be $2 per sq foot plus the cost of binding the edges. So i said, i wonder if amazon has room size rugs, then i wouldnt have to have the edges bound, and also wouldnt have to be trying to haul carpet from the store to my house, which since i dont have a truck, wouldve been another cost. Im so thrilled that amazon had the bold colors i wanted (purple for most rooms, teal for another), had the different sizes i needed, even the really large sizes for my master bedroom and large living room (12x15). I had some concerns though. I wondered about the quality, the appearance, and the ability to vacuum, and the vacuuming concern was two-fold, due to i have 8 animals, and i have a kirby vacuum. The kirby vacuum is very powerful, the most powerful vacuum you can buy, and even though there were reviews of being able to vacuum, no one stated they had a kirby, and i was concerned that my vacuum would have too much suction and not be able to glide over the carpet easily (if you try to vacuum a small bathroom rug with a kirby the vacuum will latch onto the rug and not let go), and also, whether the carpet would be durable enough to be able to use the beater brush, because with my animals, suction only was not going to be sufficient to collect all the hair/dander. Im so pleased to report that these rugs are able to be vacuumed no problem with a kirby!!! Do keep in mind that i am referring to the larger room sized rugs, (8x11,9x12,10x13,and 12x15), and that furniture is sitting on the rugs. If you have a smaller rug, with no furniture securing the corners of the rugs, then you may experience difficulty. But as for me and my experience, these rugs were no different than vacuuming any other carpet. As for the appearance, the shag is dense, just as pictured, and i do not have any bare spots. It is true that if you separate the shag fibers, you can see the backing. But you shouldnt be doing that!! With normal use, there are no bare spots seen, it looks just as the pictures show. I paid $1000 total, including tax, for all the rooms of my house, which is waaaay cheaper than what i wouldve paid for carpet installation, or if i had them cut carpet and bind the edges at a home store. Plus, i have two added benefits, if i move, i dont have to leave it behind, so i dont lose any money, aaaaand, if i ruin one of the carpets, i can simply replace justvthe one, instead of having to rip out a house full of carpet and plus have to pay someone to remove and reinstall.. i think buying these rugs is one of the best decisions ive ever made. I can say i will never pay for installed carpet ever again. Room size rugs are definitely a more convenient way to go. Also, on a side note, i ordered a wrong size and was unable to cancel one of the rugs. I contacted amazon, they arranged for ups to come back and pick it back up, and even waived the return shipping charge, and i received a full refund. Do keep in mind that i bought $1,000 in rugs, so that may have been the reason for their kindness. As another side note, if i wouldve had to been out of pocket for return shipping, it was going to be a charge of $24 which i think is actually a reasonable amount so if you do need to return it, its not as big a deal as other reviewers thought it might be. On a last note, do keep in mind, that for the same size rug, some colors were cheaper. There was no rhyme or reason for it, some colors were more expensive in one size, but cheaper than the other colors if you chosea different size, so be sure to check all sizes and colors you might be interested in. For example, i got the 12x15 in teal rather than in purple because for 12x15 teal was cheapest. But for the 9,x12 size, the purple was cheapest. And i dont mean just a few dollars, i mean cheaper by like $150, so check all colors and all sizes forcthe best deal at that time... Im so happy about my new rugs!!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

(Graphite Gray) We are very impressed with this rug so far. It is somewhat reminiscent of a 70s shag, but the pile is a little bit shorter and a little bit more kinky which adds loft to the rug. Each filament is individually twisted, which should aid in the resilience and wear of the rug, which is good. It looks a little bit less natural than and all wool or Flokati rug but the trade-off with care is worth it. We had a more Flokati-like rug previously and it was difficult to care for long-term. With the polypropylene construction, this should also aid dramatically in the durability and clean-ability of the rug. Since photos are sometimes misleading in the descriptions, I have added some up close ones for inspection. TL;DR: Good rug. Great price. Probable good long-term durability.

** Update October 2019** All my rugs are taupe color I have had my rugs for over a year now and thought I should update my review. One rug is in a room with large windows and receives the direct Arizona sun for 5 hours a day. I keep the sofa covered to protect it. I just moved the sofa and the rug has NO discoloration. No fading at all! I love these rugs! I The other night my cat became ill and vomited an unplesent green onto a rug. I cleaned up the liquid and left the balance to dry. After a good vacuuming the next day it all came out and no stain! Whoohoo!! Also, when I vacuum I use the beater bar just as if they were carpets. I have had no problems yet and I am an agressive vaccumer. You will love these rugs. I just bought another. I have purchased five of the Solid Shag Collection rugs in the last two months. I have not had an odor or an ongoing corner rolling problem as mentioned in other reviews. The rugs have been plush and laid flat after a few hours. Today I received my fifth rug. I noticed a difference in the weight immediately. After vacuuming the rug and looking closer I noticed several more differences. The new rug is labeled SOLO Collection. It seems thinner, has a solid color back, does not lay flat and has an odor. The SOLID SHAG Collection has a multi-colored back and a wide rubber trim on the edge that adds weight and holds the rug down. Possibly those who don't care for the rug have not received the correct product. I have included photos of the two rugs for easy comparison.

I wish it were a bit thicker so that there’s no desire for a pad for cushioning and the measurements were more exact ( the rug is about 9.8 by 13). Other than that the sandy brown color is great! Not too light or dark; perfect for pets that may have an accident or shed. I haven’t vacuumed it yet so I’m not sure about shedding there but the shag seems well constructed. I’m also not sure about the color fastness yet but I will report back after my first vacuum and spot cleaning. Overall it’s a very nice rug. It’s not better or worse in quality nor price than in store rugs but there were more color options here. For everyone still searching know that late fall/early winter is when on the ground textile stores restock for the year and offer the best discounts. I found this out from more than one distributor so if you can find a color/style that you like on the ground you may well be able to get $1k rugs for about the same $250 as this. I just couldn’t find any for my pet friendly needs (discounted expensive rugs were natural fibers/ wool/ silk) so I came here for synthetic materials and a color that were more likely to be pet friendly. Update: I’ve spot cleaned and Dyson vacuumed this sucker and it’s still going strong. Also one of my pups is dreadfully afraid of thunderstorms and pulled lots ( I mean a big hand full) of the fibers out in one tiny spot but once fluffed I can’t even find the spot to photograph for y’all. There’s been about a dozen pet accidents which I’ve remedied with natures miracle pet carpet cleaner, pup pads, and an indoor fenced area for the dogs during the day but it left no staining or odor. It didn’t change the rug texture either.

I love it! Honestly, I had been saving up to buy this rug from another company. On the other company’s website, the rug was $400. Then I just happened to find it on Amazon one day and the cost on Amazon actually allowed me to buy not only the exact rug I wanted but I was also able to buy another one in a 13 ft runner as well! My living area is HUGE and the 10x13 wasn’t really big enough so I got the runner to add length and it works great and especially since the runner will be under the sofa. So now I have a 12x13 with the 2 rugs combined. Just gonna use a little rug tape to keep them close together. I was super excited about to be able to buy them sooner than expected and It arrived 2 whole days before the expected delivery date as well! They were wrapped nicely and arrived in good shape. The only thing that threw me off is that the fiber feels a little rough to touch. I haven’t laid them out yet so I don’t know if they slip or grip. I’ll likely add photos when the rest of my furniture arrives and I have it all set in place. The color is a little lighter than I would have liked but it’s still nice and I’m sure it will look great when it all comes together.

We shopped a ton of rugs trying to find something decent and I'm guessing your doing the same thing! Good news is this is the rug you want. It's very comfortable, the quality seems excellent and zero odor from day one, all that at a very competitive price.

This is the third rug I’ve bought from this company the first one was a burnt terra-cotta orange color purchased about four years ago really the love it very soft … I just purchased two black ones 10x13 and 6x9 they really hard to the touch feels like walking on dried grass.

Love this rug!! The color is so vibrant and goes well in my colorful room. It’s perfect. Not too shaggy and didn’t shed when I vacuumed it.

Le tapis il est très bien en soi , pas cher , mignon, bonne qualités mais par contre attention ⚠️ il glisse à mort ! Faut prévoir un tapis antidérapant ou des bandes. Sur mon carrelage c’est une patinoire, les enfants se régale mdr 🤣

Ich habe 2 Stück im Angebot im gekauft (Wolkengrau und Elfenbein) und bin sehr zufrieden. Bisher ist kein Verfilzen sichtbar, was für mich das wichtigste Kaufkriterium war. Sollte mein kleiner Sohn das Elfenbein irgendwann in Dunkelgrau verwandeln, werde ich bestimmt nachkaufen😁

Le misure indicate erano errate, appena arrivato l'ho notato dalla custodia che era troppo piccola, mi son chiesto perchè era molto più piccolo della dimensione che doveva avere e leggendo l'etichetta si capisce l'errore. Al posto di essere circa 2x3 metri, è arrivato che misurava 2x3 feet (piedi) cioè circa tre volte più piccolo di quanto scritto nella descrizione
