Muzata 10Pack Cable Railing Hardware Swage Threaded Stud Tensioner CR23

I was trying to figure out how to attach a cable that allowed me to tighten it for a structure to prevent the cats at the rescue from climbing up above the room and learned about these railing fasteners. I didn't want to create a loop in the end as I needed the wire cable to be tightened so this was very easy to install and cut the excess off. All it took was buying the crimper for $50. The quality of these pieces is excellent. I first took a Dremel and wore down the cutoff discs quickly. It works okay with a bi-metal handsaw but that wore the teeth down rather quickly. So next time, I'll be using my angle grinder. If it was some cheap soft metal, I know it can be cut with a handsaw quickly, but it was great to know this product is made of quality stainless. I crimped in two spots to be sure the 1/8" steel cable wire did not come loose while tightening. So far, so good!

These worked extreme well. I used them to hang sponsorship signs on a baseball backstop. Easy to use, easy to adjust tension, nice clean professional look.

Works to hold cables for railing. Down side is very long for a 4x4 post and they do not cut well with bolt cutters. Also be cautious of drill bit as when it gets hot it may break

These are easy to install and look great. The only problem I found was the washers are too small, so they sink into the wood under the wire’s tension. (Obviously depends on the wood - I am using treated pine.). So I replaced them with some 3/4 diameter washers and all good.

These are very easy to use with a hydraulic swaging tool. They go through a 4X4 post and the result is a good looking cable railing system.

Be sure to use a reliable crimping tool to get the most out of the crimped connection. I had only one or two failures but I'm pretty sure I did not make the best crimp - best to do 2-3 crimps 90deg apart, IMO.

This product in black was just the look I was going for in the construction of my deck railing. These work very well for the end run of black 1/8” wire connected to the Muzata turnbuckles also available on Amazon. If you want black these are easy to install and look great.

Looks great and super easy to install. Great alternative to regular deck rails.
