AccuSet Digital Alarm Clock, 8.9" Tilt/Swivel, FM Radio, Dual USB

The first clock I purchased didn't work, but I returned it for replacement, and my 2nd clock worked great. I put it on the dresser across the room (to make me get up to turn the alarm off), and it's very easy to see. I have the brightness set to the lowest setting, and it's perfect for me - not to bright at night, but still easy to ready during the day. Radio works fine and the alarm is loud enough to wake me up. I thought the price was reasonable. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

I bought this for two features: 1) the large red numbers which make it easy to read in the middle of the night without finding my glasses and red numbers do not affect night vision as much as white or blue numbers if I need to get up in the middle of the night, and 2) the clock resets itself when power comes back on. The clock meets these needs very well and so I give it a good review. The only reason it isn't a five star review is that it is consistently about 5 minutes slower than my other automatically set clocks (such as my cell phone and computer) and that for some bizarre reason, even though the clock sets itself, it does not change to match daylight saving or standard time. There is a switch on the back which very easily adds or subtracts as appropriate when set to either the daylight savings or standard time, which is fine, but why they designed a clock to get the correct time but didn't include a very cheap chip to manage daylight savings/standard time is beyond me. The switch on the back should be one that tells the clock to either keep track of daylight savings/standard time or to ignore it. The switch is already there, so it would only take a very inexpensive chip to make it work. Also.... why is the damned thing always 5 minutes slow if the time is auto-set. Oh well, it does the job I bought it for, so 4-stars.

Bought this for my uncle, age 91, so he can see it across the room. It’s a good clock with digital numbers that are about 3.5” tall.

I liked that the unit has bright, large, and easy to read numbers. The problem is that all of the weight of the unit is in the screen area and it would easily fall over. The unit I received (perhaps it was defective, or simply poorly designed) had the additional issue that the screen would not hold any angle. If it was tilted all the way up it was more stable, but any touch would cause the screen to fall back down to vertical and that movement would cause the entire unit to fall over forwards. Any angle aside from all the way up barely hold at all and any nearby movement and just gravity would again cause the screen to fall from the angle to vertical, and again cause the entire unit to fall over forwards. Even if you wanted to keep it in a vertical position, with top-heavy weight balance I'd imagine you'd still run into issues of it falling over. They really need to add a counterweight to the base and perhaps some form of retaining screw or similar to secure the unit in the desired position.

The clock is 3 min slower and cannot be adjusted. The radio is practically useless with horrible sound. Numbers are nice and large that’s about it

Love that I can see what time it is from across the room without squinting. I use it in my living room, above the TV.

Easy to see, read and looks good. Wish it had an extra setting or two to dim reading, but the red doesn't act like a night light like other colors.
