Great quality item
Absolutely fantastic item. Brought for my 5year old (recommend age 6+ which I can understand but i fully supervised so it was fine). He loves stones so perfect activity. Kept him entertained for over 2hours. The booklet about each stone was perfect for educational value. Great quality item. If I was being picky I would have added an extra tool to chisel with. I also put kids safety goggles on him to protect eyes. Be prepared for a bit of mess. I did it on a cardboard tray which I am glad I did. Highly recommend the product

Gift for 10 year old. It was smaller than I expected, but she was very happy with it and enjoyed the ‘digging’. She was pleased with the gems too. It is a little messy, but manageable in deep tray or cooking dish.

This was a perfect gift for my gem loving daughter. Even I enjoyed seeing which gems were going to come out. Beautiful stones. Great information sheets and tools.

Lots of fun
Lots of fun! A bit difficult to scrape away even with some water so did need some adult help. But lived the little bag to carry around the “treasures” he found.

Great activity for 6 yr old
Pleasantly surprised - this was easier for my 6 yr old to dig than some other kits he gave up on, it was also less messy and didnt need soaking. We dug all the gemstones out together in 1-2 hours. I thought the gems might be tiny but they were of an okay size. He enjoyed identifying them with the booklet. Good value for money, i was happy with the quality

Absolurwly brilliant product!!
Got this for my daughter’s 8th birthday! What a quality set! Kept her entertained for hours, she really enjoyed doing it herself and spent ages digging out all the stones and then finding them in he book. She was thrilled at all her discovery’s. The gems were beautiful and the quality of information was great. Suitable for a wide age range for little ones with help and older ones to do independently. Extremely pleasantly surprised at the quality.

Amazing gift for kids.

Missing stone in kit
My toddler enjoyed this but for the younger kids they need a lot of assistance as the plaster is very hard and impossible to dig up with the plastic tool provided. Unfortunately our kit was missing 1 stone which was very disappointing as we dug for a very long time trying to find the last gem which never appeared.
