We burn wood half the year with two stoves and used gloves constantly. Bought these to replace our old ones. I like them because they're not bulky and stiff like my other ones. Definitely protects your hands and forearm from heat and accidental burns. Will buy again when needed but they seem to last a long time.

These are heavy and sturdy. I've handled a hot grate from my charcoal grill and felt no heat at all. I was impressed. They may be made for welding, but they are versatile and good protection.

Bought these for cooking and they deliver exactly what I needed: solid heat protection while still allowing real finger mobility. That combination is harder to find than you'd think. Sizing worked out great for me. I'm average build but have larger hands, and the L fit perfectly. Good reference point if you're on the edge. Quality looks and feels solid, and while looks aren't really a priority for this kind of glove, they do look nice too. Win-win. Find them to be an excellent value, they are easy to put and remove and have proven trustful. This was a good buy for me. I just got a black Labrador Retriever, unsure of age (maybe 6 to 8 months. Extremely high energy, like to wrestle but has very sharp teeth and bites too hard when we wrestle. So, found these on Amazon and it's just what I needed to handle this very tough and strong dog who loves to play and wrestle but does not seem to realize how strong his jaw and teeth are. Item is exactly as ordered and reaches to my elbows. Highly recommend.

I bought these to protect myself from cat bites. I rescued a cat that has bitten me for no reason. I can tell he was not treated kindly. Instead of putting him down I got these gloves so I can work with him. He has a favorite hiding spot. When he's in there he nips at me when I try to pull him out. I don't want him to think that he's won, and I want to pull him out. That's when I put on these gloves to get him. He will be growling when I reach for him. He is afraid to bite the gloves, so it's a win for me. He knows I've never hurt him so maybe that's why he won't bite them. They are really long on me and go up nearly to my elbows. They are super thick and I think it would take a lot to get a bad bite through these gloves. The price was right at around $26 . I really like these gloves! They offer me some protection.
