Very insightful
If youโre going through a separation or divorce, or are considering doing so this book offers valuable advice on what parents and children may go through. Both sides of the couple are represented, kids of all ages are considered, and itโs an easy read. I skipped chapters or sections that didnโt apply to my situation. Itโs peovided me with new perspectives as a parent and person working through divorce with kids.

True and faithful guidance
Thank goodness for Karen and her commitment to educating us all on the importance of a healthy co parenting relationship, it's impact on our children and how to get there from here. She has been my personal mentor for over 20 years and I would literally not be who I am as a parent today without her wisdom and support. Love you Karen!!

Very important book!
As a family therapist who often works with divorcing couples, I find this book to be invaluable addition to my work. Karen Bonnell is articulate and brilliant. I have purchased so many copies of this book to give to struggling parents I work with who are navigating this difficult time. Many with distracted thinking and raw hearts. So helpful to have this book reinforce my lessons in our parent counseling sessions.

Excellent
This book and the step family handbook by Karen Bonnell are amazing. I have just finished reading and digesting them. Really helped me to understand the challenges and emotions my parents faced and had trying to navigate conscious, cooperative coparenting and a blended family. Also amazingly reassuring and progressive as to the normal understandable feelings kids have. Beautifully written and kid centred. Iโm in awe of my friends and family who invest huge amounts of love to be kid centred โค๏ธ.
