So far, these seem to work well. We have three kids that play soccer. We purchased a good pair of shin guards for one, and then just some kind of meh guards for the other two. These were a very welcome replacement for the two. They have only been used twice, but they stayed in place well, seemed comfortable, and offered good protection. Kids seemed happy with them overall.

So far I love these. I'm not using them as they're intended for Soccer. I do stagehand work & video / film production. Especially when I'm doing stagehand work I'm pushing large cases around. I am constantly banging my shines. I'm still fighting a big open wound from several months ago that I had to see my doctor and a wound specialist for. That's why I ordered these. I love that these are a sleeve with a hard slide in shell. My biggest concerns were that they'd slide down, stretch, or I'd rip them So far they haven't slid down and they're so comfortable to wear that I don't realize they are there. I've only had them 2 months so I can't honestly say how they might hold up with time as far as stretching or ripping. The sleeve seems to be well made so I have high hopes. The shell itself give good coverage around the front of my shins where I constantly bruise myself. The back side of the hard shell has some rubber to isolate it from your shin upon impact. Their is a specific right & left shell which seems to better protect your legs. The first time I put them on I didn't pay attention to that and I definitely notice better coverage doing it right. The sleeve goes on and off easy enough. I try to keep the sleeve to the front putting on but I usually have to make a slight adjustment which is easy. As a bicyclist I have leg and arm wind sleeve for colder days. The material of these seems to be similar to those. I would guess the material is also close to the woman's tights. I was really debating between all the choices on Amazon. Definitely way to many. For Soccer some might offer some better protection being larger. Others were like these but had velcro fasteners. I wanted a set that easily fit under my pants without making bulges, wouldn't slip as I was afraid straps would, even with velcro if they slid down as your leg tapers. Again, these are extremely comfortable and many of the others don't look like they would be. Normally I don't give 5 star as I feel to many are not real. Personally I put more faith in the 4 star. At this point I feel these deserve 5 star unless they later stretch to the point that they don't stay in place, If that happens I may be able to modify this later. Again, for soccer, I can't honestly say how they protect against others. For comfort these are great and look like they would be better than any of the others I was looking at If you're like me and looking for work or yard protection - definitely consider these If you find others for soccer to be uncomfortable, definitely try these.

These worked great for my 9year old. Big step up from the velcro straps he's been using for so long. Easy to clean, fits great, and stays in place. Seems to be very durable and no skin irritation.

First, Northdeer is highly recommended all over the place. I purchased these for my grandson who plays Soccer. He loves them. He is a little larger than a lot of kids his age, so I was concerned about how they would fit, but they fit perfectly. He says they don't slide around, and they just feel good. They're lighter than what he had before, which were Adidas and they had the straps on them. He said when tightening the straps to stay put, they were too tight. He says it really makes a lot of difference when playing. The price is reasonable for them too.

Bought this for my teen son and so far the Northdeer shin guards have been a surprising little win. The built-in sleeves with a secure “lid” setup really work — no more them slipping out mid-kick (which was a constant dad-annoying moment before these). They feel sturdy but breathable, not like wearing a brick on his shins, and the molded pads hug the leg nicely for that “didn’t feel it coming” kind of protection. Son’s already given the thumbs-up after a few scrimmages. If you want solid shin guards that actually stay in place instead of reinventing the slipping disaster, these do the job — and with a bit of style too.

My daughter started soccer and loved the color and appearance. Super easy to slip on and adjust as needed. The guard is strong and thick.

Nice shin guards fit comfy. Coaching soccer bought them because Dicks didn't have any extra large size and wanted to set good example. Wore them last practice and the sleeves came in handy since my socks were a little too short that day. Overall great comfy product fast shipping.

In my opinion, this is the absolute best choice. If your kids—like mine—dislike high socks and protective gear with elastic bands that constantly dig into their legs, then this is for you. They are easy to put on and don't make the feet overheat, the perforations in the fabric. I will definitely be buying more.
