The Titus Ten: Foundations for Godly Manhood

Great material to work out Gods plan in the life of a man and also to help others to get what you are learning from this.

My church went through this book in a 10 week Mens morning group session. Highly recommend this book and also to discuss the book with others. Very insightful.

The book is a great read. I recommend this book if you have a men's group at church. It very straight forward and easy to read.

My husband and the men and his family are doing this Bible study together and they are loving it. It is wonderful for both season and a new Christians. It speaks to man about leadership and their role as leaders. Amongst many other topics.

Fantastic book and study

Titus Ten is a simple, practical, and genuinely helpful book on what biblical manhood should look like. The author breaks things down into four key domains where a man is called to exercise dominion and responsibility: first over himself, then his church, then his family, and finally his work. I especially appreciated the order of those priorities. Starting with self makes sense, because a man who lacks discipline and control internally is going to struggle everywhere else. The church domain may be controversial to some, but I actually agree with the author’s point: if a man is not committed, active, and involved in his church, it inevitably spills over into his family life. The church is Christ’s bride, and we are called to treat it with seriousness and honor, not as an optional add-on. From there, the book moves into the family. Men truly do “set the temperature” in the home. Our influence matters, and we are called to lead with steadiness, love, and conviction. Work comes last, not because it is unimportant, but because it belongs downstream from spiritual and familial priorities. Some critics complain that the book does not include a large amount of direct scripture from Titus itself, but that criticism never made much sense to me. Titus is a short book, and the “Titus Ten” are principles rooted in its themes, not an attempt to quote every verse repeatedly. The author also references many other relevant passages throughout Scripture that support the message well. Overall, Titus Ten is an easy, informative read and a strong foundation for godly manhood, especially for newer Christians or men looking for clear structure and direction in their walk.

As part of a mens book club that meets weekly with a group of guys I was looking for a book that would challenge us weekly, to give me the ability to reflect on myself, and gave opportunity for discussions that would ensure growth trough transparency. This book did just that. I would recommend it for church groups, book clubs, or even a solo read.

In a world that lacks masculine Christian book this truly helps. This sheds light in a area in the church that is lacking.

If you are a Christian man, there is no way that this book can fail to help you. The question is this… will you let it help you? There are no “magic solutions” in this book, but there are dozens and dozens of ways that the Spirit of God will prompt your heart if you will allow your heart to be prompted. I am a Christian of over 65 years. I learned so much from this book! There is nothing as exhilarating as getting excited about Jesus!!
