I already have another mini sauna that I can sit inside, but since I get sleepy sitting for so long, I decided to buy the sauna blanket instead.I’ve used it three times. The first two times I didn’t really sweat even though I had the temperature at the highest setting. The third time I stayed in for 60 minutes and kept my hands inside, and I finally got a good result.I would say it is necessary to wear thicker socks and long sleeves and sweat pants because the direct skin contact with heat is intense. I also put a towel underneath me to absorb sweat. But it’s nice to be able to lie down, listen to restful music, and enjoy the experience, then take a cold shower.Afterwards my body feels very calm, and I do notice that my body recovers faster from small injuries. (I’ve been using another mini sauna prior to getting the blanket but I see the effect is the same.) My husband runs marathons and loves the sauna benefits for faster recovery as well.I’m not sure how long the plastic odor lasts, but hopefully that dissipates over time.I like that it heats up quickly, it’s easy to use, and it has adjustable heat and time settings, and that makes a little sound when finished.I really like how it’s easy to clean, and then takes up so little space.By the way, if you live in a cold climate, you would love coming in from the cold and climbing into this super heated sauna blanket, especially if you feel cold to the bone! Update: I was told that I would receive a full refund for this item because of the injuries it causes (after the return window, that was partly my fault, Amazon is so freaking hard to communicate with and it takes at least an hour and I didn’t have the time) without having to return the item. Luckily I didn’t throw it away, because after talking to them several times and then telling me each time they’d send me the refund, it never happened. The last person I spoke to on the matter told me I needed to return the item then I’d get a refund so he created a return label. So I returned it….got a refund for almost $40 less than I paid. I was like, whatever they’re such a pain to talk to, I don’t have the time. Fast forward 2 months later, I get an email saying that if I do not return the item they’re going to re-charge my card for the full amount. So I reached out to them to tell them the item had already been returned, and the refund they gave me was not the full amount, and since I had them on the line that I would like my full refund. An hour later, they told me they cannot do that because it was a restocking fee, and even though it was an injury case, they don’t have a way to refund me the restocking fee. Ridiculous.This gets extremely hot on the bottom and leaves red welts and burns on everyone. It takes about 30 minutes to start sweating once in it. I tried an affordable steam sauna that didn’t even work first so turned to this. Now it sits in a corner because it hurts to use and makes you feel like you’re about to pass out and recovery takes a good 30 minutes before you feel normal again. Super disappointed.

I have been wanting a two person sauna for some time as the health and skin benefits are amazing, however, I don’t really have the room for one currently. I purchased this sauna blanket from Lifepro instead and have zero regrets. It does everything a sauna does, without the hefty price tag and taking up lots of room. It’s easy to use and easy to store. I always use one of the liners when I use the blanket so I sweat in it instead of the blanket and that works well. When I’m done, I let the blanket cool, roll it up, and put it back under my bed. If you choose to use the blanket without a liner, the material on the inside is easy to wipe down and clean. It gets very warm inside, so you’ll definitely be sweating. Love that it has the zip up slats for my arms so very little heat escapes. A great buy overall!

I tried it for the first time last night as it arrived yesterday. The smell is strong at first but began to dissipate quickly so I don’t think that will be an issue. It is hard to zip oneself into even with the arm holes open, but it is doable. I think I just need more practice, or perhaps to put a ring on the zipper for better leverage. My biggest issue is the length of the cord. The cord / remote is attached to a corner of the blanket which in my case is opposite of my outlet. Since one cannot lay the cord over the blanket I have to use an extension cord to reach. The remote only reaches to the arm holes so with limited range of motion it is very difficult to grab hold of. The remote also gets quite hot. The blanket itself warmed up quite quickly which was great. I like that I can see the temperature increase and the time decrease. I love the arm holes because I would otherwise feel a wee bit trapped and that ability to move helped that a lot. I also like that it shuts off once the time is up but also beeps to let you know it is done. Cool down went well and was complete when I was done showering so I could pack it up and get it off the bed. The bed was quite hot when I was done so I’ll lay a large towel down tonight to add even more protection to the quilt. I did 140 for 35 minutes and will increase the temperature this evening. I may also have my hubby zip me in though I need to be able to do it myself when I am alone. All in all I really liked it. Anything that I found bothersome was minor and I can work around.

It's intended to be used on the floor with a towel inside as recommended in the guide. I'd recommend wearing cotton clothing because it absorbs the sweat, and you probably wouldn't want synthetic (plastic based) materials heated next to your skin. If you're using for detox, you want to do a quick 7-point lymphatic massage before hand, you can Google that for a video.The first week I used it I was barely sweating, I don't typically sweat much but I persisted. By week 2 my clothing is nearly drenched by the end of the session.I would recommend this to anyone who wants to benefit from a good sweat or incorporated into their detox routine. You get the benefit to breathe cool, fresh air, which enables a longer sweat session. Overall, this is an amazing alternative to a wood sauna at a great price. I've purchased from this company before and am happy with the quality if their products.

My first time was setting on a temperature from 130 to 140 for about 45 minutes. I achieved the highest water release in this blanket.
