LIVE Schwarzkopf Color XXL Unlimited Gloss 880 Tempting Chocolate

Really pleased with this hair dye, the colour is a perfect shade for my natural colour. It was very gentle and I could detect that harsh ammonia smell I have got with another brand I used before. And the mixed solution felt gentle and clung to the hair with no dripping or mess. The coverage is very good I normally use 2 boxes of hair dye as my hair is below shoulder length and thick, but I was happily surprised that I only needed 1 box and it covered all areas well. The conditioner is lovely and left my hair silky soft and there was plenty in the sachet to do all of my hair with a good coating. I have a bit of grey on the top of my head only and it was coloured very well. The only strange experience was after mixing the creme was so thick it wouldn't come out of the applicator nozzle and had to blob it on to glove and apply it on to my hair in sections. Spoke to Henkle who make the product and they seemed to believe the solution was an old batch and had gone off! Considering I had just purchased the pack I found that suggestion strange.

I’ve used several shades from the Schwarzkopf LIVE range and I always come back to this brand because of the colour intensity. The dyes give a bold, vibrant finish that lasts much longer than many other high‑street options. I love experimenting with different tones and LIVE consistently delivers strong, even results. The only thing to be aware of is that the colour payoff is very intense, so it’s perfect if you enjoy noticeable, vivid shades. For me, it’s a reliable choice every time.

Beautiful soft chocolate colour. Before the dye my hair was ombre red and almost black at the top with my natural light brown roots showing, very surprised at such an even coverage. I havent washed it yet since dying so hopefully it wont wash out too quick as im very happy with the colour. In the sunlight the colour is like a dark horse-chestnut colour.

I never usually write reviews but had to for this. I used to always dye my hair with the Live Bitter Sweet Chocolate as the box colour was what I wanted. But never got. I had to endure a few weeks of basically black hair before it faded back. Tempting chocolate however gave me the exact colour I wanted straight after dying it, basically gives the colour of bitter sweet chocolate if you are dying over dark brown hair (which I have). So if that’s what you’re looking for and have dark hair already buy this one instead! Conditioner smells lovely, no drips and my hair feels soft after (not it’s usual softness but not dry either) and is super shiny.
