SKS Germany Bottle Cage Adapter Mount

This absolutely did the trick for when I needed extra hydration on a longer or warmer ride; but, wanted to quickly remove it for when it wasn't required. Installation is to simply wrap the strap around the seat post, engage it and snap into place. Removal is just a simple flick to disengage. The angle of the bottle is also an easy adjustment by just pressing a button (the orange cover on the hinge) and twisting to the desired setting. The only concern would be that it could easily and unintentionally disengage; however, it didn't happen during a full season of riding.

I lucked out and this fit right on my main tube as adjusted from the factory but a few instructions how to mount and adjust it would be helpful . Works great I had no room due to having a large battery in my triangle for a water bottle . I mounted a quality topeak one with this and love it . I pray the strap doesn't stretch because for the life of me I cannot figure out how you adjust it . It has to be simple . Germany has such good bicycle parts . At least both my bikes were assembled in the USA but rarely if ever do you find all USA parts in any items . This is the adapter to buy I wish they made a bar extender with this set up and some clear instructions . I use the topeak and it is good but I hate metal to metal on my bike . That is why I bought this cage adapter and the topeak adjustable cage that fits plastic water bottles sold in stores all the way to small thermos's . God Bless . This generally seems to be well made and the locking mechanism seems to provide a very secure latch. My concern is that the strap itself is very short and I BARELY had enough so that it would fit around my handlebar stem. I think I like this product better than similar offerings that rely on a velcro to secure.

This works great and can be used when my saddle bag is in place. Easy to take on/off the bike with no tools. Just add your own water bottle cage. I've tried several seat post mounted water bottle cages and this one is the best.

I purchased a Motobecane 650DS and the frame, being dual suspension, did not have the predrilled holes for a water bottle cage. I purchased this adapter for my bike since it was low cost. I have used this faithfully for the past 150 miles of mountain bike riding. Even if I crash, this adapter stays in place. I also like that I can have the water bottle mounted on my gooseneck rather than on the frame. It makes it easier to get a drink when riding! Good quality, simple design, great price.

Read other reviews of poor quality, the locking mechanism is not secure, other buyers using nylon straps. It is not a fit all application, very limited stem diameters and pivot may not accommodate water bottles . Screws easily strip and poor installation instructions.

For the life of me I couldn't find a good place for a bottle cage on my new eBike. These worked great. They're out of the way of controls and legs. I would recommend using metal cages that you can slightly loosen up or somewhat flimsy plastic cages. The hinge seems like it will be the first thing to fail, if it does. Honestly, I wouldn't use these for hardcore trail riding. Road or bike path, these will be great. I put a small bungee cord around the latch because putting two on the stem left little room for the strap. The latch was struggling to stay latched. A single holder worked flawless, the second made me install the bungee.

It's a nice design -- if you need the flexibility of moving your bottle cage from bike to bike or various locations on your bike fairly often. It is very easy and secure to adjust the tilt angle of the bottle cage mount, but I'm not sure how much value this really provides. It is very easy to undo, adjust, and replace the strap. For the most part, this is great. But after a week of use, the strap wasn't seating properly in the mechanical leverage locking mechanism, and the bottle cage wouldn't stay mounted. Another downside to this design for easy repositioning is that it is quite bulky compared to other bottle cage adapter mounts. If you want to reposition your bottle cage often, this is probably still a good option. Even putting a rubber band around the mechanical clasp to keep it in place (really only a little extra force would be needed to do this) would work just fine. If you want a bottle cage that you can mount anywhere on your bike, but you probably won't be moving it often (not more than once every 20 rides or so), I'd recommend looking into a screw-tightened design.

Ich nutze das SKS Flaschenhalteradapter mit dem SKS Flaschenhalter Topcage am MTB. Als Trinkflaschen habe ich sowohl SKS-Flaschen, deren Nut an den Halter angepasst sind (Nut&Feder-System), als auch Flaschen anderer Hersteller, die auch problemlos gehalten werden. In einigen Bewertungen wird beschrieben, dass das Adapter im Gelände verrutscht, was ich nicht bestätigen kann. Ganz im Gegenteil, ich finde das Befestigungssystem sehr stabil und flexibel einsetzbar. Andere Käufer werten das Produkt ab, da es ab einem bestimmten Rohrdurchmesser bzw. einer bestimmten Rohrgeometrie anhand des kurzen Bandes nicht einsetzbar ist. Dieses Adapter wurde für Sattelstütze und Steuerrohr/Vorbau entwickelt und passt an alle vergleichbaren Stellen. Schön wäre es aber tatsächlich, wenn SKS ein längeres Band als Alternative anbieten würde. An alle die ein System für breitere Rohre am Rahmen suchen, ist aber z.B. das SKS Anywhere-Adapter. Im Sommer habe ich den Flaschenhalter an der Sattelstütze, im Herbst bzw. bei schlechtem Wetter ist dort kein Platz wegen des Schutzbleches. Dann befestige ich das Adapter mit Flaschenhalter am Sitzrohr (Foto). Optimal ist, dass man den Winkel des Adapters per Knopfdruck verändern kann und damit ohne Werkzeug die Position ändern kann. Fazit: Qualitativ top, vielseitig und ohne Werkzeug einsetzbar, Preis ist absolut in Ordnung!

This is the perfect solution for fitting a bottle cage to an ebike. Even though my headset has a pronounced taper, this device still fits snuggly. I bought the SKS bottle cage as well and it fits pretty much all my bottles. Great piece of kit.

Ottimo prodotto!! l'unico che valga la pena acquistare, e lo scrivo dopo averne provati altri tipi.... Minimalista.....regolabile nell'inclinazione....funzionale.... non scivola sul tubo sella....e nemmeno ruota! La fascia che appoggia al telaio/sella infatti ha al proprio interno delle trecce gommate che impediscono ogni movimento indesiderato. Permette di montare qualsiasi porta borraccia si preferisca....senza vincoli. Montato e testato su mtb, con la quale mi diverto un sacco pure in discesa... Nessuno spostamento della borraccia anche dopo sessioni di 20/30' di salti anche abbastanza importanti, e su pietraie...sentieri di bosco....ecc... assolutamente consigliato! Amazon......perfetto in tutto come al solito. ;)
