Would this work for running coax cable through wall up to attic? Would like to move my antenna up there for better reception

Yes definitely. I used it to run CAT6 to five rooms in my house last week and it worked great. Some tips in case they help - drill a very small hole in the ceiling directly above where you want your drop and stick a coat hangar through it to get a point of reference in the attic. Also, I would fish string through the wall first and then pull the cable once string is through. Maybe basic stuff but I didn't know any of this before I started...

I am trying to run HDMI cables across my celing and then down the wall for projector install. Will this drop once it gets to the wall?

Being about a 1/4" metal strip, it is too stiff to fall down at such a precise bend. Most likely you would have to get over the wall, then project the cable down. Even then, it may easily curve and not go straight down. A alternative could be a metal nut (3/4" or more), tied to a string, then dropped down the wall. this will work if the wall has no internal insulation or other obstructions. Good luck.

What is the width of the wedge tip?

It's maybe an 1\8 inch wide, and 1\4 inch thick, but you can take it off, which I did.

Does this have foot markings to tell how much is run?
