Environmentally Adaptable, Tough, Flexible, UL Compliant & More!
I ordered the 100 foot roll of heavy-duty, 14 AWG, 2-conductor, tinned, stranded copper, marine wire for use installing some new 12V LED lights in a friends older travel trailer. This wire is perfect for application. When choosing the wire, I wanted something suitable for low voltage DC as well as 120V AC at a current of less than 15A total for a given circuit. The wire had to be stranded to cope with the additive sheer that can accompany use in mobile environments. A copper core was required for conductivity and the tinned finish helps keep corrosion at bay in wet, salty, marine environments. This wire is EXACTLY what I needed for the camper install. I couldn’t be happier. Despite its heavy insulation, the wire is easy to pull; it’s flexibility makes it superior to solid core romex when pulling through tight electrical chases and conduit. Insulation thickness is great; you can tell via inspection that the wire was engineered with longevity in mind. I have no doubt that it will stand the test of time. The individual conductors are easy to strip using standard electrician tools. It’s literally a one step stripping process. The wire meets the UL 1426 standard as well as relevant SAE and ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) requirements for electrical products for the marine industry. The insulating material is open flame resistant, flexible, and tough. Conductivity wise, the wire is rated for up to 600V DC and 120V AC at a maximum current of 15A. Please keep in mind, the NEC (National Electric Code) specifies that continuous load on wire of this gauge should NOT exceed 80% of its rated capacity, or no more than 12A. Similarly, each circuit, whether DC or AC must be appropriately protected by circuit breakers that meet or exceed the requirements outlined by code. I find the wire to be competitively priced and a bargain when compared to some less feature rich products. To me, the features make this wire the right choice for mobile applications whether on land or sea. I will be ordering more in the not too distant future.

Really nice quality wire
Used this as battery cable for the starter kit on my 4 stroke Predator 224 engine on my mud skipper twister. Works well and keeps the battery cables from having to be zip tied. It’s also nice and flexible for a 6AWG wire. The 10ft length worked perfect with some left over after I cut it to length. The insulation and outter jacket are very high quality and insulate the copper conductors very well. The wire is just as thick as it should be! I consider it a really good value for the money. It was definitely manufactured with good materials.

Very heavy duty sheathing to protect inner wires
High quality. Pulled through some pretty rough aluminum cutouts and scratched but nowhere close to getting through outer skin much less the inner wire skins.

Bulletproof Signal Integrity for Emergency Siren Speakers
When wiring external emergency vehicle components like siren speakers, standard automotive wire often falls short due to the constant exposure to moisture, road salt, and extreme vibration. I utilized this 14 Gauge Duplex Marine Grade Wire for the siren system in my Interceptor build, and it is the definitive choice for any high-reliability vehicle upfit. Why Marine Grade Matters in a Patrol Vehicle The standout feature of this wire is the tinned copper stranding. Unlike bare copper, which oxidizes and turns green when exposed to the elements, each individual strand in this duplex cable is coated in tin. For siren speakers—which are typically mounted behind the grille or in the lower bumper—this provides permanent protection against corrosion, ensuring that your siren remains loud and clear regardless of the weather conditions. Superior Flexibility and Vibration Resistance This cable utilizes Type III stranding, meaning it has a much higher strand count than standard primary wire. In a high-vibration environment like a police vehicle, stiff wire can eventually fatigue and snap. This marine wire is incredibly supple, making it easy to route through tight firewalls and around engine bay components without stressing the conductors. Heavy-Duty Environmental Protection The white PVC outer sheath adds a secondary layer of mechanical protection that you don't get with single-conductor wires. Abrasion Resistance: It holds up exceptionally well against the friction of being pulled through various chassis channels. Chemical Resistance: The insulation is rated to withstand battery acid, oil, and gasoline—all common contaminants in a vehicle’s engine compartment. Voltage & Heat: With a 600V rating and a 105°C dry heat rating, it far exceeds the requirements for 12V siren triggers and power runs. Final Thoughts Using marine-grade duplex wire for an automotive siren is a "best practice" move that separates a DIY job from a professional upfit. It provides a watertight, corrosion-resistant, and vibration-proof link between your siren "brain" and the speakers. If you want a setup that you can install once and never have to worry about again, this 14 AWG tinned copper wire is the only way to go.

Been waiting nearly 3 weeks now and no response of arrival!
Been waiting nearly 3 weeks now and no response of arrival! I converted campervans for a living and this is ridiculous, been held up and working around the wiring.
