The exterior dimensions for the 4 slice show 14.5x11x9.5 but i see conflicting measurements listed in reviews & questions.Plz confirm?

Hello, I do apologize for the confusion. The correct measurements are : exterior is 14.5”L x 11”W x 9.5”H & Interior is 9.75”L x 9.5”W x 7.75”H which have been revised on our images.

Does it toast bread evenly?

Not really, it like a lot of other ovens has hot and less hot zones. This causes bread and bagels to be less browned on some parts. For the price and the aesthetic it's not a bad toaster oven. For toasting bread evenly I recommend a more traditional toaster. For heating food up, and getting the job done in toasting it is a 10. For perfectly even toasting it is a 6 or 7. The only issue I had with this toaster oven was I had to adjust the alignment on the door and handle so that it would close flush. I think that it might have gotten out of alignment during shipping, but a few turns of a screw driver to tighten a screw and I was all set. The toaster is low in price, pretty and works well. If you're looking for that and you like the color, go with it otherwise go with something else.

Does this toast bread slower than a conventional toaster?

I think it actually toasts faster than a conventional toaster. I have both and no longer use my conventional toaster at all. Love this little toaster oven!

The knobs to both the temp and time are seemingly pointed downwards instead of towards the numbers. Where do you place the knob to toast?

The little triangle “arrows” appear to point toward the center of each knob, but just assume they point outward to the numbers. Turn clockwise around to TOAST.
