KNIPEX Tools - Electrician's Shears (9505155SBA)

These are my first pair of KNIPEX electrician’s shears, and I upgraded from another well-known brand. The difference was noticeable immediately. These are far superior—they’re incredibly sharp, feel great in my hand, and make clean cuts every time. They’ve made stripping cable jackets, cutting zip ties, and general electrical work much easier. The quality is exactly what you’d expect from KNIPEX. I wish I had made the switch sooner. Highly recommend these to any electrician looking to upgrade their tools.

Love them. I bought them just because I have been on a marathon buying Knipex tools because I love the brand so much. I tried it on electrical wires and they cut really flush.

Honestly I like these for the convenience with the hard carrying case and the fact that they cut through thicker gauge wire than the Kleins. I have both for different purposes because the kleins do things that these don’t but these are great and better for everyday cutting through thicker wire.

Really great for electricians this scissors, the material is really resistant, good weight is not that heavy so is comfortable to work with also is durable and the case to safe them makes it easy to carry out!

I'm an Electrician who now does low-voltage work. Most electricians use side cutters (dikes). Most low voltage techs use snips. I bought a pair of Fluke snips and I hated them. Most other electricians or former electricians feel the same way. These snips are on a whole 'nother level. EXTREMELY comfortable to use, and very high quality. The grip/handle is perfect. I mean perfect. Fits in your hand like a tailored glove and gives you great leverage without hurting your hand. There is a padded grippy outside surface to the handles so you can use your palm for extra leverage, but I never do that, I get plenty of leverage using the normal 3-fingered grip. The long handle and shorter blades increase your cutting power and it is noticeable. The circular cutout thing near start of the blade looks weird, but it super useful. It makes it way easier to cut cables, and way easier to strip the jackets off cables. It takes a little bit to get used to having it on the cutting surface, but its a great design. The holster thing is OK. nothing special. If you just stick it onto your jeans pocket it doesn't work that well, but mounted on a belt it works really well. The snips stay in the holder very well, there is a ball/detent surface that hold them in. When you take the snips out it pulls the holster out of your pocket, but with some practice you can do it one handed by holding the holder down with your forefinger. No big deal. Overall, I love these snips. They're better than traditionally designed snips by a long shot.

These things are amazing had a friend who swore by them just didn’t know if I’d like them with how the handle is but they work amazing and feel great. They can cut through just about anything you want. I used them as a telecom technician and could cut through copper pairs and fiber cables real easily as well as mule tape. Would definitely recommend buying these and will buy more in the future

Great intermediate level cutting tool. Think of them as light duty tin snips. Keep that in mind and you’ll like them as well They are not good general purpose scissors. Cutting across a piece of paper like you would with a 8” pair of Fiskars scissors is easier and smoother. These are for cutting through something. Great electrical scissors with the circular shear section. With practice they strip wire. They are not a substitute for a pair of wire cutters. They will hold up better at that task. The holder clips into an open tool bag well.

It really is far superior to the rest

I do a lot of electronics, electrical and stats work and I've tried all the shears. The knipex ones are by far the most comfortable and long lasting in my experience. They are not cheap but they don't let you down when you need them.

Me encantó, es muy robusta, un excelente filo y acabado, hecho en Italia por otra parte la he ocupado mucho en cortar cables 12-14 AWG y eventualmente 10 AWG y corta sin problema dichos cables, manteniendo el filo perfectamente a dejar que sirve para cortar cinchos plásticos, cinta aislante etc. lo recomiendo, un muy buen acabado no se arrepentiran
