MAGNETIC, TINY AND ATTRACTIVE. JUST WORKED!!!!!
I loved this the minute I saw it. It has a magnetic base and the box it comes in is surprisingly only 5 inches tall. It looks like a tiny microphone and I have mine attached to the arm that is on the wall to hold and swing my TV. But the great thing is that if it had to be visible it would look just fine as opposed to some of the other antennas which can be awkward. I was very fortunate to have found 70-80 channels immediately (counting the sub channels like 13.1, 13.2, 13.3, etc.) The picture quality was wonderful and, as I mentioned, I did not have to bring the antenna up to the window. The cord was very long, so I just left it coiled and it still worked fine. The magnetic base made it very stable as opposed to the ones that drop the signal when you slightly move the cord. Be sure to look at the directions for a special offer available to people who purchase this product. I did not have any problem installing the item, but I wrote to the company regarding that offer and was delighted that they wrote back within hours. This is NOT powered, by the way, and I did not need power to get excellent reception.

Wowser
Let me start off by saying that I'm not new to over the air antennas. I have gone through three or four of those flat antennas that you stick on your wall that are supposed to pull in 30+ channels. Needless, to say, unless you live close to an antenna, they don't. Now, enter the Chaowei antenna. A few weeks back I was looking to try a different antenna and I didn't want one that looked like all the rest. I stumbled upon the Chaowei and was shocked that there were virtually no bad reviews so I added it to my cart. I received it a few weeks ago and, needless to say, I'm still stunned. I first tried using it in the dead zone. This is my bedroom and it is virtually impossible for me to pull stations in this room unless my antenna is attached to a powered amplifier. I hooked it up here first and, to my surprise I pulled in 10 channels and they were all strong. Still, I was not satisfied so I moved my antenna into the kitchen where I moved a 32 inch into after I inherited it following the death of a family member. This tv is mounted on a wall and fairly close to my kitchen window. I connected it to the tv and tried several positions before I finally found a sweet spot on the windowsill in my kitchen. Can I say I'm still amazed? Sure, your results will be different but I have strong signals for many channels. Let me give you a run down on what I'm pulling in. Channel 4 Escape MeTV Bounce WETA UK Cozi Channel 5 Buzzr getTV Grit Fox5 Plus MOVIES Heroes and Icons My TV WETA HD WETA kids WHUT HD XITOS (Spanish channel) WZDC (Spanish channel) WBFF (FOX 45) WUTB Stadium (sports channel) WDCW (CW) Antenna WNUV - HD (CW) Antenna (2nd Antenna channel) Comet Charge MPT-HD MPT-2 MPT Kids NHK WLD (Japan channel in English) ION QUBO ION Life HSN QVC WMAR-HD WMARDT1 (LAFF) Not bad for a tiny little antenna. I'm so excited about this one that I plan on buying a second one with a powered amp for my bedroom. Honestly, this $20 antenna gets more channels that the expensive antennas. Anyway, this is my review. Take it or leave it but this is a great antenna and I'm so glad I found it. You have earned a loyal customer in me.

Works Pretty Well, Would Recommend
I live in Orlando Florida with lots of interference from a nearby airport. I am fairly close to the broadcast stations and do not have cable or wifi. My tv is an LED 720p. I purchased this product and the antenna amplifier to replace my old school antenna with rabbit ears which was picking up 55 channels that faded in & out. The product came several days earlier than quoted and in good condition. It was much smaller than what I presumed it would be but is EXTREMELY sturdy. It was incredibly easy to hook up in less than 5 minutes. I did a channel scan but did not pick up any additional channels other than what I already had however the channels faded in & out much less with very little need to constantly adjust the antenna. I tried different combinations; moving the antenna around the room & re-scanning & still I did not receive any additional channels but again, the channels faded a lot less. I also tried removing the additional antenna amplifier which only made the channels fade in & out again frequently but not quite as much as with the old school rabbit ears. I decided to try the antenna without the amplifier on a different tv which was an LED 1080p and already receiving 66 channels. Both tv's are the exact same brand, age and features, the only difference is the size & number of pixels. I hooked up the antenna, did a scan and picked up 20 additional channels (86 total) on that tv. A few of the channel do fade in & out but the majority of them are solid. As far as the other tv, the 720p, the one the antenna was originally intended for, I found the old fashioned rabbit ears with the amplifier worked better on it, there is now zero fading in & out but I'm still getting only 55 channels on it, no biggie. I will be picking up another antenna amplifier to use in combination with this antenna on the other 1080p tv that now gets the 86 channels, I'm curious to see if I can get more channels & zero fading. All that being said even though I wound up not using this antenna on the tv I intended to, I'm happy with this product, not sure there isn't something better but feel it is worth the money and would definitely recommend getting the antenna amplifier to go with it.

This antenna + metal floor lamp = shockingly good indoor reception
My current setup is this antenna stuck to a metal floor lamp. Before attaching the antenna to anything, I didn't get usable reception, but once I attached the magnetic base to my metal floor lamp, something magical happened: I got far better reception on all stations than I've ever been able to get fiddling with popular leaf antennas. Every station comes in with a strong signal. I live in an house about 25-30 miles away from transmitters. I've tried a few different indoor leaf antennas with mediocre results. Spent lots of time fiddling with the leaf antennas, on my window, on my wall, on my ceiling, only to get a few stations with ok reception and most stations with unusable reception. I'd given up on the idea of using indoor antennas and was ready to give up and throw a big ugly outdoor antenna on the roof. But I decided to give this antenna a try though I didn't get my hopes up. The design seemed clever: use a magnetic base to attach to something metal as a crude antenna. I tried attaching it to a few metal things like the mounting brackets for the TV, window frame and my metal floor lamp. All improved the signal but the floor lamp yielded great results and the antenna is small enough that you can't see it when attached to the back. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the reception and get all stations with no fiddling.

The very definition of false advertising - No 360ยฐ
The product page contains a lot of false and contradictory statements. The antenna most definitely does not have 360 reception, here in NYC only a few miles away from the broadcast station I either get ABC or CW but not both. In order for me to get ABC without static I have to orient the antenna vertically and in order for me to get CW without static I have to put it horizontally. If you can't get at least all 4 major networks in NYC with an antenna then I can only imagine what other locations are going through. The page first say and shows images of placing the antenna in all kinds of places and hidden but then says that you should place it vertically. It also says that it has 360 degree reception but then says in the tips except for some horizontal signals. The whole page is just on big contradiction. When I contacted them they gave me a list of excuses upon excuses telling me the frequency might not be supported and that I didn't check or that I'm lying (ABC transmits at 174 and it states this antenna supports from 170 so I checked) and then they told me that it works for some customers and not others. Then they told me to go get another brand. Completely useless costumer support and definitely an antenna with a flawed design. If you want to get any kind of Hi-V channels then I would suggest you stay away from this antenna and don't fall for their false advertising.

Signal quality
Good enough as a digital antenna, but signal quality can be iffy. At times can pick up local channels with great quality, but it can also lose signal off and on for no apparent reason. I find myself having to reposition the antenna. I like the small form factor and the strong magnet that acts as the base of the antenna. In my view the antenna should be on a swivel so you can easily reposition the signal direction without having to try diferrent locations. It seems to be a design flaw or omission. Overall, decent antenna, well built for a decent price.

Small and Strong!
What an amazing product! I hadn't heard of a digital antenna until a family member mentioned it and I haven't had TV in years because even basic cable is insanely expensive. I figured this couldn't hurt and I was so surprised by how well it works! Set right by my television, it picked up about 48 channels, and when I moved it over to my window that expanded to around 68! The setup was as easy as it gets, and the instructions clearly explained how to do a channel search. It has a wonderfully long cord and the antenna is much smaller than I expected (definitely a good thing). The magnet on the base of it is very strong and helpful for mounting it on window as well. I haven't tested it during bad weather yet, but I really don't think I'd mind either way. Overall I am very pleased with how simple and useful this little device is for such a low price. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing antenna and better than the $50 plus competitors
For the TV in the our bedroom, I've been using our early 1990s house's copper ground wire and a cable extender/coupler for an antenna and that works beautifully but in the living room where the most watched TV is, there is too much interference to get one of the main networks we want, METV, on Seattle's Channel 44.1. Using house ground and a powered CATV Drop signal amplifier, I could get everything but 44.1-44.4. They would fade in and out and even with a used CATV Drop signal amplifier that I'd found at goodwill. I've spent $50+ on other antennas and they didn't cut it. Then I saw this antenna and all the positive reviews on it and I decided to give it a try without the drop signal amp. I just hooked into the back of the TV and put the antenna in a nearby window and checked the signal strength. It was way better than house-ground and I could watch METV but I knew with this little beauty, I could do better. Since cable TV coaxial cables are designed as transmission cables and one can go up to a 1000 feet, I traced the cable that runs through my attic to the coax cable junction outside our house and from there to the jack behind the TV. I cut and stripped the cable in our attic and put a compression fitting on the end, hooked it up to a coupler and hooked the antenna up to it. I placed the antenna at the very front of the house. At the jack behind the TV, A cable goes to the powered CATV drop signal amp and from there to the TV. Now, METV's and all other local channels show up way better than good on the signal strength indicator on our TV. It's almost like we have basic cable TV now with 37 Channels. I highly recommend this antenna and especially with a CATV drop signal amplifier for that extra strength and clarity.

I get all my locals crisp and clean!
I think it's important we mention what city we're in when we review them so others in the same city knows this product will work for them as well. I'm in Winnipeg and am able to get CBC French, CBC HD, CTV HD, Global HD and CityTV HD. This picture was taken during the show Carnival Eat's. This product worked better than expected. I'm 10 miles away from most and 25 miles away from the farthest. With having a magnetic base, I currently have this on my baseboard heater indoors. I haven't paid for cable in 30 years. It's worth the purchase! EDIT: Just under 1 year later, the amplifier died making it unusable. If understood correctly, product had 1 year warranty. Contacted seller, requested warranty replacement, would only offer 20% discount code to purchase another one, agreed, waited 3 weeks and no code. Nice antenna but would suggested a different seller that honors their warranty.

Strange little antenna.
Metro Vancouver, close to US border. Got about 10 channels. Four local Channels CBC, CTV, CKVU, CHECK No GLOBAL (CHAN) TV . METV (KVOS)12) from Bellingham and some others labeled 12-1, 12-2 12-3.... Old shows, movies. No US major networks. Have to move the antenna around to clear up the picture sometimes. I place the magnetic base on metal. Top of the fridge or edge of the bathtub works best.

Small and Convenient TV Antenna
Arrived today. Out of the box, using the supplied Signal Amplifier box, I get 24 channels here in Toronto. It's best to re-scan on a clear night to maximize the number of channels you can pick up. The amplifier stopped working within a few days, but I still pick up 40 channels without it, after midnight. During the day, its between 15 and 24. The tiny size and magnetic base is really handy. No big, unwieldy, finicky rabbit ears to deal with, it just hides away out of sight. After the initial scan, select a weak channel, then just walk around the room carrying the tiny antenna on its long cord 'til the iffy channel comes in clearly. Now that you've found the ideal antenna location, re-scan to maximize channels. The box says it's 4k 1080 and it does include the amplifier. The picture is clear on all channels. I'd give it 5 stars but the amplifier stopped working within a few days.

Small and mighty.
I ordered the antenna for my TV when the "rabbit ears" broke. I now get more channels and i love the long cord! The product works exactly as intended.
