COTY Airspun Loose Face Powder - Translucent

I bought this based on the previous reviews. I wasn't expecting it to live up to the high levels of praise that I've read but being translucent and having extremely fair skin, I decided to give it a try. I've been using it for nearly a week now and I absolutely love it!First of all, the smell. There was a lot of talk about the fragrance of this product so I was slightly nervous because it seemed to really split the crowd. From some of the reviews I'd read about how it smelled like your favourite granny, I was half expecting it to smell like a Monday morning post office queue, but the smell is actually gorgeous. It has very traditional talcum powder smell which is very nostalgic and I personally love it. But the smell vanishes within 90 seconds after application so even if you don't really like the smell, it soon goes. Now I was concerned about using a product that had a strong fragrance because I have a lot of random allergic reactions to cosmetics, which result in my eyes streaming for hours at a time. But this product doesn't make me react at all so if you do have sensitive skin, it should be fine for you.The powder itself is extremely light. I personally prefer to apply it with a brush but it comes with a powder puff if you prefer. When I read the comments about it making your skin glow, I was concerned that it would make me look like those Instagram girls who look like they've had an incident with the contents of an Etch-a-Sketch. It does give your skin a luminous glow, but not in the way a highlighting product does. It's really hard to describe, but my skin looks illuminated and slightly airbrushed. I am in my 40s so I have a fair few wrinkles, but this doesn't sink into them like many powdered products do. It just makes me look really healthy, whether used alone or on top of foundation.I am currently having a fun time with menopausal symptoms and hot flushes. There isn't anything in existence that keep my face from getting a bit shiny by the end of the day but this product does the best job of anything that I've used in recent years. I do have to touch up the T-zone by the end of the day, but the rest of my face stays put and looks just as healthy after several hours of wear.I've never previously had a favourite face powder product; they all seem to be lacking in some aspect. But I am seriously in love with this one. I really hope that they don't ever stop making it, because I doubt I will ever use another face powder product again now that I've found this.

This powder is great - I always find myself going back to it. The amount of product you get for the price is amazing compared to other brands. I’ve used a variety of luxury & drug store brand and truly, this is the only powder I’ve ever repurchased more than twice. The texture is beautiful, and this shade in particular is very brightening for my skin tone. I just have to be careful not to use too much because it really does make your skin matte and bright. There is no flashback. The scent of the powder is light but fresh.

So when i buy a new make up product i normally try it out on a day where im not at work just to test how it holds out... but i couldnt wait and i tried it on tonight ( i havent left it on long enough to see if it helps keep my oily skin at bay but i will come back at weekend and review on how well its held up etc ) basically i put on my foundation and then applied the powder with the puff i then sweeped away the excessed and buffed it with a big make up brush and i was amazed to see how my pores were vanished and fine lines had gone and no bumpy cakey skin and left a soft smooth silky finish... (i will also test this at weekend because many of times iv applied my make up checked my mirror and thought dang girl you look flawless ! iv then stepped outside the house and checked my make up in mirror and its a different story where i have pores galore and my face looking like a grannies fanny so lets see if this powder gets rid of these blemishes like it says inside or outside the house!) I will admit there is a strong perfumed scent to the product ...but... i love it .... and once on your face you cannot smell it which too be honest im quite sad about ... delivery was quick and the item came with protective covering which is important to me. I also didnt get the extra coverage one as i think how can a fine milled powder be extra coverage and secondly i like my make up to look natural as much as possible i feel the extra coverage if it did tht would make your face look too cakey... and too doll like as this powder to me gives a very good coverage over all (non extra coverage one) and too be honest the more make up u pile on the more your blemishes will pop out the more creases and mre visible pores believe it or not ... less is more ..xx i will be back at weekend to review again lol see if my review is still a happy one lol i just wanted to show my excitement at how well my first application went in a very long essay review haha x tata bubbye now ( so saturday i have worn the powder over my normal make up ... 9hrs no touchups and it has stayed on really well ..tint bit of oilyness around my usual areas but not even as much as what id normally get by now my make up would be sliding off my face .... so this had dne really well will be buying again) does oxidise a little bit bt not where your really orange it actually got better once oxidise when u first put it on its very pale looking but then once oxidise looks mre natural x

I brought this powder on reccomendation from a big youtuber so i had high expectations that thankfully, were met.At such a low price, you get a ton of this stuff! This powder will honestly last you an extremely long time even if you use a lot each time. I have been using this daily now for over a week and it has quickly become my most reached for powder.I have used this powder as both general setting powder and to bake my under eye concealer and it does an absolutely flawless job at both. I find it brightens up my face, and stays put, i still have a full face of makeup when i get home from work 8 hours later and i dont carry it about with me so no touchups required!The powder also smells gorgeous, i can imagine it isnt a smell that everyone would like though. It smells like talc powder mixed with a light foral scent and to be honest, it is a VERY heavy scent. I like it though, so this isnt an issue for me as it dissappears once you have buffed it in to your skin.Highly reccomended.

I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about this powder. The price? A steal. The packaging is adorable and classic. The powder is a finely milled translucent shade that doesn't look cakey or leave a white residue. It also doesn't make my pores look bigger, which looking back, was an issue with the Maybelline loose powder I had used previously. It is impossible to use "too much" of this powder, I put it all over my face and bake with it too, and somehow it doesn't cling to any areas or look ashen. Baking the undereyes with this is easy, I take the powder puff it comes with, fold it in half, dip it into a pile of the loose powder, then dab it along my undereyes and the highpoints of my cheekbones, under my cheek contour, and a bit on the Cupid's bow and center of my chin. It will mattify you GOOD, to the point where you may not need a single touch up in an 8 hour day, so if you are a dewy skin lover or a au natural type, this might be too much for every day wear. For a long time I thought loose powder was loose powder, you've seen one you've seen em all, and boy was I WRONG... this blows other loose powders from the drugstore away (I haven't used Nyx HD in a while so I'm not sure how it compares to that one, but the others, yes), and gives the coveted Laura Mercier offering a run for its money. And indeed, that is a great powder as well, but for £40... hmm I'll stick with my Coty for the time being :)

I have used this powder before and is a great powder, however the packaging is faulty. This I the second one of these that I have ordered that the lid has fallen off and powder has gone all over me and my floor. This is a lot of wastage as well as damaging my carpets

Don’t understand why there are bad reviews there is nothing wrong.When I opened my powder it was everywhere which I expected, this product is only available overseas and I don’t expect it to be packaged well due to price. Coty is a drugstore brand so didn’t expect it to arrive in a box like my, Mac/By Terry/Laura mercier/Becca or Too faced powders.The plastic sifter inside had bubbled or warped, again not an issue doesn’t affect how you use the product and was clearly just due to transportation.There was still a sticker over the holes where the product comes out so was clear it hadn’t been used, although that sticker was full of powder where the powder had leaked. Therefore the puff it comes with was also full of powder, not an issue just wipe it off.The powder I recieved stated it was translucent, although the powder itself is a light pink colour. When you actually use the powder it is translucent and not pink or natural in colour. Like when you buy a translucent powder that is stark white, it doesn’t come out white on the face. I am a makeup artist and I would use this on all skin tones.It’s to be noted that the powder has a strong perfume smell like the Huda beauty baking powder, shouldn’t be an issue as you can’t smell it on the face however may not be the best for sensitive skin.Also the powder is 65g standard powders are 10g so I’m really happy and I’d buy again.
