Good quality, good price
Sturdy, solid bench. Very easy to attach and detach my Evolution chop saw to. Not too heavy. Folds down well for transport. Does the job well. Extendable and adjust arms support longer pieces of wood well when cutting. Happy with this

The Ideal Mounting Solution For Many Mitre Saws Users?
I bought an Evolution mitre saw a couple of years ago and it has had regular use since then for various DIY projects. Not having any sort of workshop I'd done what the saw's instruction manual advised for "portable" use. I'd made a mounting board from 80cm x 60cm 18mm MDF. I'd also added fittings so it could be held and used securely with my portable workbench. It works OK but quite frankly the added weight, size and time it takes to set it up makes it borderline impractical for my particular facilities. So I looked for something, anything better and the most obvious solution was this purpose designed Evolution mitre saw stand. But I put off buying it for months because even though 'only' about £70 it was an extra expense I didn't want. Now I have bought it I wish I had been more sensible because it is just what I needed: robust, folds down to make a still heavy but portable and relatively compact piece of kit. It is easy to set up and solves all the problems I'd had including, in certain cases, helping with a design fault with the mitre saw. I won't go into details about that but the fact is if you're cutting long piece of wood you want it to lie properly level with the saw table so that when you cut it you know the saw blade is cutting through it at the intended angle. With this stand's built in adjustable roller support end piece extensions that can be done more accurately. This stand could be used as a permanent support in a workshop but for DIYers with limited space and anybody requiring portability for whatever reason this stand seems like a most practical solution.

Value for money
Brilliant product. Used with my Makita mitre saw to skirt and arch the whole house, couldn't have done it without this item. Took the 4.2m lengths no bother. Rollers are useful and makes it easy to slide the lengths along to the desired cutting point. It feels sturdy and well made. Bought for £59.99 which represents fantastic value for money in my eyes. It doesn't tell you in the instructions how to fix different branded mitre saws, but I found it best to feed the bolts from underneath through the gap in the clamps, and bolt up on top of the mitre saw. It is also worth making sure that the heaviest bit of the saw is centred on the stand before you secure the fixings.

Decent but not fool-proof table for mitre saw...
This is a pretty decent table that overall seems stable for my mitre saw. When setup it feels sturdy and the table itself has a reassuring heft to it. I have three basic criticisms. The first is that the extending sides are quite flimsy; the roller attachments locate into the arms of each extending side and are secured using a plastic handled friction screw. This has a tendency to slip when heavier loads are resting on it, and in any case I think the manufacturing tolerances are a little out as one side seems to hold the roller correctly and the other always seems to be a little out of level. The second criticism is the need to bolt the saw to the two adjustable saw mounts. This is a nuisance, and some kind of quick release mechanism that clips the base of the saw to these mounts would have been nice. Finally, this stand has perhaps the worst instructions I have seen in a long time. It's not a complicated assembly, but the badly printed B&W images were barely comprehensible, with no written instructions and so I had to figure it out without. Not rocket science, but disappointing on an item clearly intended for the hobbyist, not professionals. One further thing to be aware is that when bought via Amazon, Evolution won't support in the event of any damage or missing part for the stand. Mine arrived with some minor damage to one roller (a piece of the steel had become bent) and my only option would have been to return the lot, when it would have been perfectly acceptable to have a replacement roller only sent out. In the end I disassembled it and straightened the bent steel using pliers and all is now good, but before doing this I contacted the product support and they wouldn't help due to having purchased from Amazon. Not a major thing, but as sending something like this back would be a nuisance, it's worth bearing this in mind. Overall, though, it is well priced and mostly suited to its task. I don't really mind the saw mount hassle, but I couldn't fail to deduct a star for the flimsy extension rails and mounts for the rollers.

The tool I didn’t know I needed
I am only a hobbyist DIY enthusiast so I review this as a shed user rather than using for business but I think this is an awesome bit of kit. Having used blocks of wood or hop up platforms to run my circular saws on previously this feels so much more versatile, safe, sturdy and easy to use. Can handle long work pieces, the arms can be used as stops for repetition cuts and the are if connecting my evolution saw in and off is brilliant. I think pretty reasonably priced for the quality and strength of it as well. If you use a chop saw and don’t have this then recommend buying it - don’t think you’ll regret it

Good solid basic stand.
Robust and solid construction providing a very stable base for my "chop" saw (mitre saw). Looking at the materials used and its construction, I expect this stand to outlast me! The only items that might not last too well are the 6 tightening knobs for the extender arms, which have plastic heads and don't feel that tough - time will tell. Good working height (not variable - unless you saw the legs down!) with extension supports on both sides makes cutting a joy. Although quite heavy, it does collapse to a relatively small size for carting around to where you want to do the work or for storing. It was easy to quickly fit my MacAllister (B&Q) 1400W sliding mitre saw, which I've had for about 4 years - should have bought the stand much sooner. Although (bizarrely) the mounting holes on my saw base are not parallel, they fitted easily on the mounts and the mounts then fitted solidly onto the bench, even though they were not quite parallel (approx 10mm off). The mounts use a simple screw adjustment to set the correct lock-down compression, which is well explained in the manual. Talking of which, the manual does a good job of explaining everything. Not that much explanation is required as, apart from fixing your saw to the mounts and the rollers to the extensions, there is nothing else to do - 10 minutes and you are up and running. The extensions on either side provide additional support for longer pieces of wood. They are strong enough to hold the weight of heavy timber, but as they are offset from the centreline, they do allow the rollers to twist round a little. This means the two rollers are never exactly on the same plane as the mitre saw. As the rollers are only intended to support the weight of overhanging timber, their height can be adjusted to best support different sizes of timber. At £66 this stand represents good value for money. I was considering the Charnwood W215, but it was bigger (bed is about 0.5m longer) and would take up even more space in my limited area. It is also much more expensive. Looking at photos of the Charnwood and some others, the design, construction and materials look to be the same (it wouldn't surprise me to find they are made in the same Chinese factory). I suspect a lot of the offerings from different companies are simply "badge" engineered for them with minor changes such as the length of the bed and the paint colour scheme. I have another item I'd like to fit to the stand, but extra mounting brackets are prohibitively expensive at £30+.

Very Nice
Great and fast delivery..Just purchased a new Mitre Saw and was thinking of building my own table until I saw this guy, it's a fair price, easy to errect, although I did watch a Youtube Video first, never the less it's pretty easy to put up. It is pretty solid, my Ryobi fits nicely, taking the saw off and putting on is a doddle, the stand folds down fairly flat and can be stowed standing up in the corner or placed unded the workbench like mine is, all in all I am pleased with this purchase.

Superteil!
